    摘要: Techniques for distributing and using application codes and discovery filters in device-to-device (D2D) wireless devices. An example method for an announcing device includes receiving, from a coordinating node, first and second application codes and associated timing information. The associated timing information defines respective first and second validity intervals for the first and second application codes, such that the first and second validity intervals are at least partly non-overlapping. The method further comprises subsequently transmitting, during the first validity interval, one or more discovery messages that include or are based on the first application code, and transmitting, during the second validity interval, one or more discovery messages that include or are based on the second application code. Corresponding techniques for monitoring devices are also disclosed.

    摘要: The teachings herein disclose methods and apparatuses for automatically binding external identifiers to service provider network identifiers. The external identifiers are allocated by an access network for use by a service provider network in identifying given wireless devices to the access network, where the service provider network is external to the access network. The service provider network identifiers are used to identify those same wireless devices within the service provider network, with respect to one or more services. The binding thus enables the service provider network to trigger communications with a targeted wireless device via the access network, by using the external identifier that is bound to the service provider network identifier of the targeted device, and sending trigger signaling to the access network that identifies the targeted wireless device via the external identifier.

    摘要: In a mobile network with a plurality of access networks, a control node which is controlling access of a user equipment to that one of the access networks which is currently used by the user equipment determines an access capability of the user equipment in said access network, e.g. support of voice communication over packet switched access. The control node provides an indication of the determined access capability to a subscriber database associated with the user equipment. The indication may then be retrieved from the subscriber database and be used to control termination of a connection to the user equipment.

    摘要: A method is disclosed for enabling device-to-device, D2D, communication when a communicating device is out of public land mobile network, PLMN, coverage for a first radio access technology, RAT. The method comprises scanning a carrier associated with a carrier predetermined for D2D communication for any signals, and if the scanning determines that D2D communication is present on the carrier, initiating out-of-coverage D2D communication, or if the scanning cannot determine that D2D communication is present on the carrier, determining a signal strength of other signals on the carrier and if the signal strength is below a threshold initiating out-of-coverage D2D communication. Alternatively, the method comprises scanning a carrier for at least a second RAT, and if a second RAT is detected, determining a PLMN of the detected RAT and accessing data on the determined PLMN about out-of-coverage D2D permissions, and if out-of-coverage D2D communication is permitted in the determined PLMN initiating out-of-coverage D2D communication. A communication device and computer program accordingly are also disclosed.

    摘要: According to one aspect of the teachings herein, a token is logically bound to an external identifier and provided to a wireless device via triggering signaling sent to the wireless device through an access network. The wireless device is configured to send registration signaling through the access network to a service provider network, in response to the triggering signaling and to return the token in such signaling. With this advantageous approach, the service provider network recognizes the token returned from the wireless device and thereby learns the association between a service provider network identifier that is received in the registration signaling for identifying the wireless device with respect to a service provided by the service provider network, and an external identifier assigned by the access network for use by the service provider network in identifying the wireless device to the access network.

According to one aspect a method for operating a control node of a core network is provided.
