摘要: The present invention provides a muting configuration for reference signal (RS) transmission as a pattern defined by at least the combination of a muting sequence and a reference point. Muting occasions for a given wireless communication network cell (20) thus are differentiated from another cell by use of a different muting sequence, a different reference point, or both. Moreover, in one or more embodiments, the present invention provides for the use of a common muting sequence or reference point across cells (20), with muting occasions being differentiated between cells (20) through use of different reference points (in the case of a common muting sequence), or through use of different muting sequences (in the case of a common reference point), or different sequences and different reference points. Such arrangements simplify the signaling needed to control or indicate the muting configuration in use in the cells of interest, provide an advantageous basis for propagating muting configurations among cells (20), eliminate the need for predefined muting configurations, and the need for blind detection of muting by wireless communication apparatuses (14), such as UEs.

摘要: Embodiments herein relate to a method in a user equipment for enabling positioning of the user equipment in a radio communications network. The user equipment is served in a first cell controlled by a radio network node. The user equipment knows or can obtain a system frame number of at least one cell. The user equipment, a positioning node, and the radio network node are included in the radio communications network. The user equipment receives, from the positioning node, a message comprising positioning assistance data, wherein the positioning assistance data comprises information associated with the at least one cell for which the system frame number is known or can be obtained by the user equipment. The user equipment also performs a positioning measurement using the positioning assistance data and the system frame number of the at least one cell to enable positioning of the user equipment.

摘要: According to several disclosed techniques, a wireless network provides assistance information to a mobile terminal for cell selection at re-establishment of a connection after a radio link failure. An example method is implemented in a mobile terminal served in a first cell of a wireless network, and includes receiving (510) a configuration message from the network, the configuration message identifying at least one carrier frequency. Upon subsequently losing connection with the first cell without receiving a handover command, the mobile terminal initiates (520) a cell search using the identified at least one carrier frequency, based on the configuration message.

摘要: Systems and methods relating to configuring a Secondary Component Carrier (SCC) for a wireless device in a cellular communications network are disclosed. In some embodiments, the method comprises obtaining capabilities of the wireless device, where the capabilities indicate a frequency band combination supported by the wireless device. The frequency band combination supported by the wireless device includes a first frequency band supported by a base station and the wireless device used for a Primary Cell (PCell) of the wireless device and a second frequency band supported by the wireless device but not supported by the base station. The method further comprises identifying an overlap between the second frequency band supported by the wireless device but not supported by the base station and a third frequency band supported by the base station but not supported by the wireless device and configuring the SCC for the wireless device in the overlap.

摘要: According to some embodiments, a method in a network node of a wireless network for aligning discovery reference signal (DRS) occurrences comprises determining a first DRS occurrence configuration that comprises a schedule for transmission of a first series of DRS occurrences. The method further comprises determining a first discovery measurement timing configuration (DMTC) that comprises a schedule for receiving DRS occurrences that is aligned with a first subset of DRS occurrences of the first series of DRS occurrences. The method further comprises determining a second DMTC that comprises a schedule for receiving DRS occurrences that is aligned with a second subset of DRS occurrences of the first series of DRS occurrences, wherein the second subset of DRS occurrences is different than the first subset of DRS occurrences. The method further comprises communicating the first DMTC to a first wireless device and the second DMTC to a second wireless device.

The methods and arrangements relates to the scenario when the UE is handed over from a source base station to a target base station in a handover scenario, and wherein the target base station may not support functionalities which the source base station and the UE support. The method in the UE comprises receiving (501) a configuration message from the target base station via the source base station, configuring (502) the UE based on the received configuration message from the target base station by searching (503) for a second field in an information element of the received configuration message. The presence/non-presence or a value of the second field is indicative of how to manage a configured first functionality associated with an optional first field, wherein the configured first functionality may not be supported by the target base station.
