摘要: A process for producing a high-temperature resistant honeycomb catalyst, which comprises admixing cerium, zirconium, at least one metal selected from the group consisting of iron and nickel, at least one metal selected from the group consisting of platinum, palladium and rhodium, and optionally at least one metal selected from the group consisting of neodymium, lanthanum and praseodymium, each in the form of an aqueous solution or dispersion of a soluble or easily water-dispersible compound of the metal, with active alumina, drying the mixture, calcining it, dispersing the resulting catalyst composition in an aqueous medium, and depositing the dispersion on a monolithic honeycomb carrier. The resulting catalyst is useful for simultaneous conversion of hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides in an exhaust gas.

摘要: The catalyst according to the present invention can be utilized effectively as an ozone decomposing catalyst for catalytically decomposing to eliminate ozone contained in a gas or as an ozone deodorizing catalyst for decomposing offensive odor ingredients contained in a gas by catalytic oxidation under the pretense of ozone, and it comprises a composition containing Mn oxide, metal Pd and/or Pd oxide as the essential ingredients formed as a thin film on a support. Further, the performance of the catalyst can be improved by using Mn oxide and Pd as the essential ingredient and using an alumina sol as a binder upon preparation.

摘要: Efficient treatment of waste water is accomplished by subjecting the waste water to wet oxidation under continued supply of an oxygen containing gas at a temperature of not more than 370.degree. C. under a pressure enough for the waste water to retain the liquid phase thereof intact, in the presence of a catalyst containing a composite oxide of at least two metals selected from the group consisting of Ti, Si, and Zr and at least one metal selected from the group consisting of Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, W, Cu, Ce, Ag, Pt, Pd, Rh, Ru, and Ir or a compound of the one metal mentioned above.

摘要: A process for producing aromatic or heterocyclic nitriles, which comprises reacting an alkyl-substituted aromatic hydrocarbon or an alkyl-substituted heterocyclic compound with ammonia and oxygen in the presence of a catalyst composition comprising (a) at least one composite oxide selected from the group consisting of a binary composite oxide comprising titanium and silicon, a binary composite oxide comprising titanium and zirconium and a ternary composite oxide comprising titanium, silicon and zirconium, and (b) an oxide of at least one metal selected from the group consisting of vanadium, molybdenum, tungsten, chromium, antimony, bismuth, phosphorus, niobium, iron, nickel, cobalt, manganese and copper.
