Abstract:
A multicontroller apparatus has a plurality of control units each including a controller and a diagnostic device for making a diagnosis of the controller. Each diagnostic device includes an apparatus for judging states of other control units by using output signals of diagnostic devices included in the other control units and an apparatus for executing a diagnosis of the associated controller which is a diagnosis object of the diagnostic device when the judging apparatus has judged that one or more other control units are not in the diagnosis state. Owing to the present invention, a necessary number of controllers which are in the controllable state can always be ensured in a multicontroller apparatus. Therefore, control by the multicontroller apparatus is always possible, and it becomes possible to make a diagnosis upon the multicontroller apparatus.
Abstract:
In a multiple digital controller system which comprises a main or first digital controller and at least one stand-by or second digital controller and in which the main digital controller normally applies the control signal to an object to be controlled, and the stand-by digital controller applies the control signal to the controlled object when the main digital controller is disabled, an improvement is made so that an undesirable level variation may not substantially occur in the control signal applied to the controlled object during the transient state of switch-over from the main digital controller to the stand-by digital controller. In the improved multiple digital controller system according to the present invention, the integral calculation to be carried out in the stand-by digital controller in a period n (n=2, 3, . . . ) is executed on the basis of the data representing the result of integral calculation carried out in the preceding period (n-1) in the main digital controller and transmitted from the main digital controller, in order to eliminate the influence of the difference in conversion error occurring in the A/D converters of the digital controllers.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an information processing system having a neural processing unit, an expert system for executing an inference using a rule, and an information selection unit. The neural processing unit and the expert system being arranged in parallel to each other. The information selection unit selects and outputs necessary information from the information outputted from the neural processing unit and the expert system. Since necessary information is selected and outputted from the information obtained from the neural processing unit and the expert system as a result of processing executed by the neural processing unit and the expert system in the parallelly different points of view, the certainty of the information to be selected is improved.
Abstract:
An alarm system in a plant for outputting a plurality of alarms with respect to devices constituting the plant and monitor information with respect to the devices. In the system, there is provided a unit for storing a table for correspondingly relating a plurality of alarm items to suppression reason items indicating that the display of the alarms can be suppressed. A generated alarm item and a generated event are specified by receiving the plurality of alarms and monitor information. A decision is made by reference to the table as to whether the generated alarm suppression reason item exists in the monitor information, the kind of generated alarm, and the generated event for each generated alarm item. An instruction is given to a display unit to suppress the display of alarms in which a decision is made that the suppression reason item exists.
Abstract:
A multiplex control system has a plurality of control apparatuses, test signal generators provided, respectively, for the control apparatuses for the purpose of internal diagnosis thereof, signal selectors each for selecting a signal to operate a device under control from the signals produced by the control apparatuses, and diagnosis units each for deciding presence or absence of abnormality in the associated signal selector with the aid of the signals inputted to the signal selector and the output signal therefrom.
Abstract:
The present invention consists in disposing a first transmission unit in a control panel which is installed in a central control room, and a second transmission unit in a control device which is installed near an equipment to-be-controlled of a plant. The first transmission unit and the second transmission unit are connected by a cable. Each of the first transmission unit and the second transmission unit comprises a transmitter, a receiver, a serializer, a deserializer, change-over means and change-over control means. The serializer, which produces a serial information signal wherein a plurality of received information signals are arrayed in series, is connected to the transmitter. The deserializer separates a serial information signal delivered from the receiver, into a plurality of information signals. The plurality of change-over means connect a plurality of signal transmission cables respectively connected thereto, to the serializer or the deserializer. The plurality of change-over control means control connectional statuses of the corresponding change-over means on the basis of the respective information signals separated and delivered by the deserializer.
Abstract:
In an apparatus for operating and monitoring a plant, a manipulating device provides the plant with manipulation signals for operating the plant. In response to information supplied from the plant and a manipulating signal of the manipulating device, a first display data producing device produces first display data needed for the operation of the plant changing every moment. On the basis of data supplied from the first display data producing device, a first display device displays information relating to the operation of the plant. In response to information supplied from the plant and a manipulating signal of the manipulating device, a second display data producing device produces data needed for monitoring the plant. On the basis of data supplied from the second display data producing device, a second display device displays information relating to the monitoring of the plant on a larger display screen than that of the first display device. Information displayed by the first display device and information displayed by the second display device complement each other and make it possible to accurately operate and monitor the plant.
Abstract:
Plural television cameras situated at monitored sites, each assigned with a particular code, generate image signals of the sites. An image signal transmitting unit receives those signals and transmits an image transmission signal over a transmission a monitoring site. The transmission signal is so formed that one channel of the transmission line which is divided into plural channels is assigned to the transmission of an image signal of high priority sites so as, to reproduce a full motion image of the remote site at the monitoring site and all the signals from the other sites are transmitted on a time-sharing basis through the remaining channels to reproduce frame repetition images. The assignment of the channels is determined by the order (priority) of codes included in an instruction signal from an instruction signal transmitting unit at the monitoring site. An operator can select the order (priority) of the codes.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a signal diagnostic method for a triple information transmission system. According to this method, using a transmission signal transmitted latest among three transmission signals of three channels, the synchronizing signal parts of the respective transmission signals are synchronized so as to align the heads of information signal parts of the transmission signals, whereupon any error in the information signal parts of the transmission signals is detected. The three transmission signals of the three channels are temporarily stored in three registers. The storage time intervals of the transmission signals in the registers are determined by the transmission time differences between the respective transmission signals and the latest transmission signal. Upon lapse of the predetermined storage time intervals, the transmission signals are fetched from the respective registers.
