The cover comprises a cassette-containing member, at least one chamber-defining member, and sealing means, typically sealing means that are capable of reversible attachment. Also presented are methods for contacting cassette-immobilized gels to desired fluids by assembling a fluid retaining chamber upon the cassette using the covers of the present invention.

    摘要： Methods and apparatus are presented that facilitate electrophoresis of prior-cast, hydratable separation media, usefully immobilized pH gradient (IPG) strips. The method exploits the swelling of prior-cast, hydratable separation media upon rehydration to help lodge the media in an enclosing member that permits spaced electrical communication with the enclosed separation media. The electrical communication permits a voltage gradient to be established in the enclosed separation medium sufficient to effect separation of analytes therein. Cassettes, buffer cores, electrophoresis systems and kits are presented for effecting the methods of the invention.

    摘要： A universal device for securing a catheter on a patient includes a base which optionally has one or more locating elements for positioning or securing a catheter or catheter fitting of various shapes or sizes. The base optionally includes a recessed or flat receiving area defined by locating elements arranged in any configuration suitable to hold or receive a catheter or catheter fitting, e.g., in a tapering or V shaped formation. Additional locating elements may be positioned elsewhere on the base for receiving or holding a flange or wing of a catheter fitting and preventing its movement in various directions. The base optionally has an angled surface to maintain the desired angle for catheters or catheter fittings in a patient. A cover is removably or permanently connected to the base and may optionally have one or more top openings for receiving tabs or extensions of a catheter fitting.

    摘要： An apparatus for adjustably securing a boat accessory to a boat. A first member has a plug and a second member has a socket. The plug has a rosette shape with rounded protrusions and the socket has a corresponding mating shape. Both the plug and the socket have openings for a fastener to secure the plug in the socket. The first member is one of a mounting base and an accessory base, and the second member is the other one. In one embodiment, an extension is positioned adjacent the plug so as to separate the first and second members. In another embodiment, the extension has a plug on each end and the first and second members have sockets. In another such embodiment, the extension has two members joined with a rosette-shaped plug and socket.
