    摘要: A method for continuous casting of thin slabs may involve feeding a molten metal into a mold, molding a partially solidified thin-slab strand from the molten metal in the mold, reducing a flow rate of the molten metal in the partially solidified thin-slab strand by way of an electromagnetic brake positioned in a region of the mold, and removing the partially solidified thin-slab strand from the mold by way of a strand guiding system. Unsolidified parts of the partially solidified thin-slab strand may be stirred by an electromagnetic stirrer arranged underneath the mold downstream along a strand takeoff direction of the thin-slab strand. Further, a traveling electromagnetic field may be produced by the electromagnetic stirrer in a region of the thin-slab strand that is at a distance from the mold of between 20 and 7000 millimeters along the strand takeoff direction.

    摘要: An apparatus for hot dip coating metal strip is disclosed having a dip bath vessel (4), a snout (6) which opens into the dip bath vessel for introducing a metal strip (1) which is heated in a continuous furnace into the dip bath, and a deflecting roller (7) which is arranged in the dip bath vessel for deflecting the metal strip (1) which enters into the dip bath in a direction which points out of the dip bath. The snout (6) is provided with a shaft-shaped snout extension piece (6.1) for increasing the snout dipping depth, the internal width of the snout extension piece (6.1) tapering toward its outlet opening (6.15) at least over a part length of said snout extension piece (6.1). As a result, an increase or maximization of the eddy flow in the molten metal at or close to the metal strip (1) and therefore improved homogenization of the molten metal in the region of the strip is achieved, as a result of which slag-induced surface defects on the surface of the coated metal strip (1) can be avoided.

    摘要: A method for the hot-dip coating of metal strip, in particular steel strip, in a metallic melting bath (3) is disclosed. In the method, the metal strip (1) to be coated is heated in a continuous furnace (2) and is introduced into the melting bath (3) through a snout (6) which is connected to the continuous furnace and which is immersed into the melting bath. To be able to satisfy the requirements placed on the coated strip (1) with regard to good deformability of the strip, as far as possible without cracking and peeling, and with regard to high anti-corrosion protection in a more effective and reliable manner, the disclosure proposes that, in the region delimited by the snout (6), a melt is used which is intentionally implemented differently, in terms of its chemical composition, than the chemical composition of the melt used in the melting bath (3).
