摘要: A hose 10 of the invention includes an outer hose member 12 composed of a rubber and an inner hose member 14 composed of a resin. A pair of projection ring elements 26 formed on opposite ends of the inner hose member 14 are received in a pair of inner circumferential grooves 24 formed in thick-walled tube elements 18 of the outer hose member 12. The projection ring elements extend the inner circumferential grooves 24 with such dilatation and deformation of the concavity of the inner circumferential grooves 24 enabling the thick-walled tube elements 18 to generate forces acting along the concavity of the inner circumferential grooves 24. Such forces are applied as pressing forces against the projection ring elements 26. The thick wall of the thick-walled tube elements 18 enables the pressing forces to be maintained while the projection ring elements 26 are retained in the inner circumferential grooves 24.

In a fuel tank for a motor vehicle, which is formed by blow molding for attachment of a built-in part in an interior thereof, and of which an outer wall composed of a synthetic resin has an opening, a functional part adapted to discharge fluid from the interior of the fuel tank or feed fluid therein is attached to the built-in part, a tube adapted to discharge fluid from the interior of the fuel tank or feed fluid therein is connected to the functional part, and a tube connector is attached to an end of the tube. A temporal holding connector is formed integrally with the built-in part, the tube connector is attached to the temporal holding connector, and after blow molding, the tube connector is detached from the temporal holding connector and is attached to a tank cap adapted to close the opening of the fuel tank.

摘要: A welding joint 10 for a fuel tank reduces the amount of fuel vapor in the fuel tank that escapes into the atmosphere. The fuel tank welding joint 10 a joint main body 20 and a barrier layer laminated on the surface of the joint main body 20. The joint main body 20 is formed of a first resin material weldable to the wall of the fuel tank FT, and the barrier layer 30 is formed of a second resin material that is adhesively and chemically reactive with the first resin material and that is more fuel-impermeable than the first resin material. An end portion 34 formed so as to be exposed to the outside at the end of a tube portion 24 is formed on the barrier layer 30. When the barrier layer 30 is injection molded on the surface of the joint main body 20, the end portion 34 is formed by the flow of the second resin material through the end of the tube portion 24 to increase the adhesive strength of the end face where the parts are joined.

摘要: Provided is a fuel cutoff valve that reduces the emission of fuel vapors from within fuel tanks. The fuel cutoff valve is mounted by partial insertion into a fixation hole provided in an upper tank wall of a fuel tank. The fuel cutoff valve comprises a cover, a casing, a float, and a spring. In the cover, a matrix of polyacetal having excellent resistance to fuel permeation reduces emission of fuel vapors into the atmosphere, while a dispersed phase of polyethylene in the matrix allows welding to fuel tank.

摘要: An evaporation loss control device provided with a polymer chamber filled with polymer absorbent, a charcoal chamber filled with charcoal, introduction and purging pipes for connecting the polymer chamber with a fuel tank and an engine intake passage, respectively, an air pipe for ventilation connected to the charcoal chamber, and a vapor passage, which has various forms. For example, the vapor passage may be formed in spiral to encircle the polymer chamber, or provided between the polymer and charcoal chambers, thus allowing the evaporated fuel to pass therethrough. The vapor passage is constructed to prevent the evaporated fuel trapped by the polymer absorbent from flowing into the charcoal chamber, and also to prevent the liquid fuel from being absorbed by the charcoal.

For example, the cover is bonded to an upper portion of a fuel tank, is independent of the fuel tank, and includes a connecting surface to be connected to the fuel tank and a flow-out passage in which a vaporized fuel flows out. The connecting surface has a connector portion formed of a resin exhibiting a good bondability to the fuel tank. The case is screwed to the cover, and includes an evaporator opening and a floating valve. The evaporator opening communicates with the flow-out passage. The floating valve opens or closes the evaporator opening.

摘要: A fuel feeding mechanism of the present invention has an inlet filler pipe that runs from a filler opening formed in an outer side member of an automobile to a fuel tank. The inlet filler pipe has a flange. The inlet filler pipe is attached to an outer wheel house across a seal cup that is held between the flange of the inlet filler pipe and the outer wheel house. The inlet filler pipe is inserted from outside of the automobile through the filler opening toward the fuel tank and is attached to the outer wheel house. This arrangement enhances workability.

摘要: An automotive fuel tank is provided in which a plurality of mounting members are provided on a built-in part which are fusion bonded to an inner surface of an outer wall of the fuel tank so as to attach the built-in part in place in the fuel tank. An abutment portion is formed on the mounting member which is brought into abutment with an inner surface of the outer wall of the fuel tank. The abutment portion has formed thereon an abutment surface which is made to tightly stick to the inner surface of the outer wall of the fuel tank and elongated projections which project from the abutment surface, whose cross section at their distal end portions is of triangular shape and which penetrate into an interior of the outer wall of the fuel tank, and a height of an apex of the elongated projection from the abutment surface is in the range of 30% to 70% of a thickness of the outer wall of the fuel tank.
