摘要: In a data communication system in which many nodes are connected to a common data bus so that each node can communicate with other nodes, a data frame to be transmitted from a node to other nodes includes a message having a variable length interposed between a signal indicating the length of the message and a signal indicating the end of the message in the frame. The message and the signals are coded according to a coding rule such as NRZ, and a bit stuffing rule is applied to the signal indicating the length of the message and the message while another rule violating the bit stuffing rule is applied to the signal indicating the end of the message. When the message length is changed due to noise or other causes in the course of data transmission, the signal indicating the end of the message is clearly detected at a receiving end because it is coded according to a rule different from the rule applied to the message and other signals. Further, since the length of the message actually received at the receiving end can be compared with the signal indicating the length of the message, transmission error can be detected without fail.

摘要: A bus monitoring security device is connected to a bus, which includes a tool side bus having a tool connection terminal and an ECU side bus. The ECU side bus is coupled with an ECU, and the tool side bus is coupled with a tool capable of communicating with the ECU via the tool connection terminal. The tool side bus and the ECU side bus are separately coupled with the bus monitoring security device. The bus monitoring security device includes: a controller for determining whether the tool being to access the ECU is connected to the ECU side bus, and for restricting transmission and reception of data between the tool and the ECU when the controller determines that the tool is connected to the ECU side bus.

摘要: In a transceiver, a clock generator generates a second clock synchronized with a first clock. The second clock has a period corresponding to a duration of one bit of a digital signal. When first transmission data is supplied to the transceiver with being asynchronous to the second clock, a sampling timing generator detects start data of the first transmission data as a start timing, and generates sampling timings based on the first clock in response to the start timing. The sampling timings have intervals each of which is defined to correspond to the period of the second clock. The first sampling timing is spaced from the start timing. A sampling module samples, at each of the sampling timings, the first transmission data, thus generating second transmission data synchronized with the second clock.

摘要: A LIN receiver includes a voltage divider that divides an input voltage and outputs the divided voltage, and a peak hold circuit that outputs a peak voltage of the input voltage. The LIN receiver is configured to generate a threshold voltage to be used for determining a voltage signal of a communication bus. The threshold voltage is generated from a voltage signal of the communication bus such that the peak value of the voltage signal (i.e., equivalent to a battery voltage) is held by the peak hold circuit and divided by the voltage divider. Although the communication bus is connected to an on-vehicle battery of which voltage varies with time, by using the voltage signal of the communication bus, a 5V system ECU can generate a threshold voltage which varies responding to the variation of the battery voltage. Hence, the voltage signal can be determined correctly as either high or low level.

摘要: A ringing suppression circuit for a communication circuit that performs communication through a transmission line includes a high side switch connected between a high potential reference point and a high side line of the transmission line, a low side switch connected between a low potential reference point and a low side line of the transmission line, and a ringing suppression section. The ringing suppression section turns on the high side switch based on a difference between a potential of the high side line and a potential applied to a control terminal of the high side switch. The ringing suppression section turns on the low side switch based on a difference between a potential of the low side line and potential applied to a control terminal of the low side switch.

摘要: An antenna reflector, which can reflect incoming radio waves, is formed as a corner of a cube by orthogonally connecting three reflectors which can reflect incoming radio waves. The reflectors are formed from semiconductor layers, conductive sheets scattered on one surface of the semiconductor layers, insulator films formed on both sides of the semiconductor layers, conductor films provided on the opposite surface of each of the insulator films, and switching elements that are formed on the semiconductor layers and which connect the conductive sheets. As a result, if direct current voltage is applied between the resistor films, the reflectors reflect radio waves while radio waves are absorbed when no direct current voltage is applied, and thus, the reflected radio wave is modulated by the application and non-application of the direct current voltage.

摘要: An electric control system for a photoelectric touch input apparatus including a plurality of light-emitting elements arranged to produce a plurality of light beams in parallel on a common plane and a plurality of photosensitive elements opposed to and aligned with the light-emitting elements to receive the light beams so as to produce a plurality of light-receiving signals at each level of the light beams applied thereto. The control system is arranged to produce a plurality of drive signals respectively representative of a control valve for adjustment of each quantity of light of the light-emitting elements, to apply the drive signals to the light-emitting elements in sequence, to determine as to whether or not each level of the light-receiving signals is less than an optimum level, and if so, to adjust the control value in such a manner that each level of the light-receiving signals reaches the optimum level, and if not, to maintain the control value, to adjust each level of the drive signals in accordance with the control value, and to produce a switchover signal indicative of the position of an object such as an operator's finger when it interrupts one of the light beams. In this manner, relative differences in the quantity of light between the light-emitting elements and relative differences in the levels of the light-receiving signals may be compensated for, thereby maintaining the light-receiving signals of the photosensitive elements at an optimum level prior to use of the touch input apparatus.
