    摘要: One object is to provide a method for manufacturing a display device in which shift of the threshold voltage of a thin film transistor including an oxide semiconductor layer can be suppressed even when ultraviolet light irradiation is performed in the process for manufacturing the display device. In the method for manufacturing a display device, ultraviolet light irradiation is performed at least once, a thin film transistor including an oxide semiconductor layer is used for a switching element, and heat treatment for repairing damage to the oxide semiconductor layer caused by the ultraviolet light irradiation is performed after all the steps of ultraviolet light irradiation are completed.

    摘要: The invention provides a display device of which a contrast ratio is enhanced. By providing stacked polarizing plates so as to be in a cross nicol state, a contrast ratio of a display device can be enhanced. The stacked polarizing plates are stacked outside a light-transmissive insulating substrate in a parallel nicol state. When the number of polarizing plates is four or five in total, a contrast ratio becomes the highest.

An insulating film is formed by performing heat treatment a resin containing a siloxane polymer after application, in an atmosphere including an inert gas as its main component and having an oxygen concentration of 5% or less and a water concentration of 1% or less. Preferably, an oxygen concentration is 1% or less and a water concentration is 0.1% or less. The resin containing a siloxane polymer includes a methyl group and a phenyl group. Further, the inert gas is nitrogen.

    摘要: There is disclosed a method of efficiently rotating a specimen without hindrance to observation of the specimen. A specimen holder having a holder body and a specimen-holding member is used. The holder body has a hole in which a step surface is formed. The specimen-holding member is supported from the step surface in the hole of the holder body and positioned within the hole. Arc-shaped slots are formed in the step surface. The specimen-holding member has an opening that accommodates the specimen. The specimen-holding member also has a surrounding portion through which rod-like members extend. The rod-like members have lower-end portions inserted in the slots formed in the step surface. The rod-like members also have upper-end portions. The specimen-holding member holding the specimen is rotated by rotating the upper-end portions of the rod-like members.
