    摘要: A substrate transfer apparatus has pluralities of pairs of substrate support mechanisms. The substrate support mechanism includes a first roller provided on a first rotary shaft and a second roller provided on a second rotary shaft, the substrate support mechanism transfers a substrate in a transfer direction while supporting the substrate between the first and second rollers in a thickness direction of the substrate. The pair of the substrate support mechanisms are disposed so as to oppose to each other in a width direction of the substrate and the pairs of the substrate support mechanisms are arranged along with the transfer direction. Further, a substrate position regulating member that regulates a position of the substrate by contacting with a side surface which is parallel to the transfer direction is provided on either of the first and second rotary shafts.

    摘要: A collator includes a series of twenty bins arranged in parallel with each other. A copy feeding member feeds copies supplied from a copying machine along inlets of the successive bins. First and second deflecting devices are arranged at uppermost two bins for delivering the copies into the uppermost two bins. A distributor is movable between the third bin and the twentieth bin for delivering the copies into the bins. An extra tray is provided separately from the bins. The collator further comprises a collate mode selecting member, a job separation mode selecting member and a non-collate mode selecting member. While the collator processes the copies of a certain document under any one of the collate, job separation and non-collate modes, for instance the collate mode, any one of the job separation and non-collate modes, for instance the job separation mode, to be effected for copies of the next document can be reserved, and the collator is automatically switched from the collate mode into the reserved job separation mode upon completion of the previous collate mode.

    摘要: In an automatic document feeder for use in combination with an electrophotographic copying machine for feeding documents successively into the copying machine by separating and feeding the documents one by one from a stack of documents, the stacked documents are placed on a document table and are fed by a pair of rollers into a nip portion between a rotating separation roller and a separation plate having a rubber sheet applied thereto to separate and feed documents one by one from the lowermost one, and an edge detecting sensor for detecting a front edge of a document is arranged downstream with respect to the separation roller to produce an edge detection signal. When the edge detection signal is produced, the relevant document is once stopped at the front edge detecting sensor and after a start signal for denoting the completion of a copying operation for the preceding document is supplied from the copying machine, the relevant document standing by the front edge detecting sensor is advanced. An opening for manually inserting a document is provided at a downstream position with respect to the front edge detecting sensor and a rotatable lid is provided above the opening.

    摘要: Method of forming a uniform polycrystalline semiconductor thin film by laser annealing. The method is started with preparing a substrate having an insulating layer which has a relatively low thermal conductivity and a thickness of more than 20 nm. Then, an amorphous silicon thin film having a relatively high thermal conductivity is formed to a thickness of less than 35 nm on the insulating layer. Thereafter, the amorphous silicon thin film is irradiated with laser beam to impart thermal energy to the film. In this way, the amorphous film is converted into a polysilicon thin film. Since the thickness of the amorphous silicon film is less than 35 nm, polysilicons having uniform grain diameters can be grown.
