    摘要: When one-video program data (layer-coded data) of a plurality of layers is transmitted in a single channel, a video signal is layer-coded in an MPEG system, the layer-coded ES (Elementary Stream) data is converted to a PES (Packetized Elementary Stream) for each layer, and the PES is then converted to a RTP (Real-Time Protocol) packet, which is then converted to a UDP (User Datagram Protocol). An identifier is then annexed to a UDP packet data for each layer to form an IP (Internet Protocol) packet.

    摘要: At each network node, a packet classification unit makes a judgement to transfer only a packet necessary to be processed by software to a packet processing program processor and transfer other packets directly to a routing processor. Processing history information indicating the process history executed at each network node on a network route is transferred to the other network nodes so that other network nodes can store the processing history information in respective processing history repository table. Each node refers to this table and further transfers only the packet necessary to be processed by software to the packet processing processor.

    摘要: A transfer protocol conversion method and a protocol conversion equipment are disclosed in order to transmits TS packets for a CATV network, a DAVIC network or the like by use of IP packets for the Internet. In a network using TS packets, the transmission is made with an Internet protocol header stored in a private field of an adaptation field defined in the TS packet. An equipment for protocol conversion between a network using TS packets and an Internet forms an IP packet for the Internet by use of the header transferred by the private data. Further, lower 8 bits of the IP address of an IP packet and lower 8 bits of the PID value of a TS packet are made the same and upper 24 bits of the IP address are converted into a 5-bit value so that the converted 5-bit value is made to correspond to upper 5 bits of the PID value.

    摘要: A real time visual communication system capable of improving a correspondence between a received video signal and a received audio signal in real time and improving reality. An AV signal is separated into a video signal and an audio signal, and the output state of the video or audio signal is controlled by the characteristics of the audio or video signal. For example, the sound field, reverberation, and the like are controlled in accordance with the characteristics of the video signal. A suitable image pickup unit is selected in accordance with the characteristics of the audio signal to make the sights of conversation participants coincide with each other.
