    摘要: Provided is a lever fitting-type connector wherein the time for connecting a second connector comprised of a plurality of connector segments to a first connector can be reduced; and a compact connector portion of a wire harness can be obtained. A second connector (14) fitted and connected to a first connector (13) by an operation for rotating a fitting operation lever (15) attached to the first connector (13), is configured by combining a main connector segment (31) with a subsidiary connector segment (32). The main connector segment (31) has a lever engagement portion (34) to be engaged with the fitting operation lever (15) when the main connector segment is fitted to an initial fitting position. The main connector segment (31) is shifted from the initial fitting position to a complete fitting position by an operation for rotating the fitting operation lever (15).

    摘要: A discharge device of the present invention including a pair of electrodes opposingly disposed in a sealed tube is characterized by the provision of a conductive member surrounding one of the electrodes in the sealed tube. An ignition system with a series gap has a built-in discharge device provided with a series gap, with one end connected to the center electrode side of the spark plug and with the other end connected to the high-tension cable side extending from the high-voltage distribution side. In this ignition system, a discharge device has a conductive member which surrounds one of the electrodes of the sealed tube, and one of the electrodes enclosed with the conductive member of this discharge device works as a cathode. Furthermore, in this ignition system with a series gap which includes a discharge tube provided with the series gap with one end connected to the center electrode side of the spark plug and the other end connected to the high-tension cable extending from the high-voltage distribution side, there is provided a conductive member enclosing the cathode side of the discharge device to be installed in the casing.

    摘要: An ignition device with a series gap includes a series gap assembly having therein a discharge tube. A shielding case is provided to cover the series gap assembly. The shielding case is made of a conductive material and arranged to be in contact with a cylinder head or an engine block so that electrical continuity is held between the shielding case and the cylinder head or the engine block. Accordingly, the shielding case effectively works to provide a reliable electric shielding between the exterior and interior of the shielding case so that electromagnetic wave caused by sparking of the discharge tube is prevented from leaking outside and an ambient electric field is prevented from affecting a discharge characteristic of the discharge tube.

The central portion of one of the electrode plates is bulged outwardly, and the discharge plane of the discharge electrode is located close to a plane including the periphery of the electrode plate.

    摘要: Only one pre-gap is arranged between the ignition coil and the distributor so that it is connected in series with each of the ignition plugs in the engine. A relay device is connected in parallel with the pre-gap. The relay device is normally closed to supply a high voltage from the ignition coil to the distributor, bypassing the pre-gap. Only when sensor signals indicate that the air-fuel combustion state is bad, the relay device is opened to cause the high voltage from the ignition coil to be applied to the pre-gap before being supplied to the distributor. This construction permits the single pre-gap to serve all the cylinders in the engine and prolongs the working life of the pre-gap.
