Abstract:
A vehicle door (10) includes a door frame (20), hinges (32) for attaching the door frame to a vehicle body (31) therethrough in such a manner that the door frame moves between open and closed positions, a door lock section (35) for holding the vehicle door in a closed position, and door beams (70) connected between the hinges and the door lock section. Each door beam includes a series a plural dividing members. The plural dividing members have their respective end portions (71b, 72a) overlapped with each other in a widthwise direction of the vehicle body and joined with each other in such a manner that the dividing members are movable relative to each other by a predetermined distance when a collision force acts on the doorbeam.
Abstract:
An automatically opening/closing apparatus for vehicle of rack-and-pinion type is reduced in size and weight. The automatically opening/closing apparatus for vehicle is automatically opened/closed, by transmitting rotation of an electric motor to a back door through a drive power transmitting mechanism comprising a pinion and a rack. The rack is supported linearly reciprocably by a slide mechanism comprising a slide block and a guide rail. The slide block is formed to be sufficiently short to the entire length of the rack and the guide rail is accordingly formed to be short. Further, the rack is provided with a groove portion, and a holding member contacting with a holding face is disposed in the groove portion. Then, an interval between the rack and the opinion is maintained by the holding member, whereby engagement of the pinion therewith is ensured.
Abstract:
A power tailgate apparatus of the present invention includes: a curved arm of which one end side is connected to a tailgate; a rod of which one end side is connected to another end side of the curved arm; a rectilinearly moving rack connected to another end side of the rod; a driving power source arranged at a position adjacent to the rectilinearly moving rack; a driving force transfer part which transfers a driving power of the driving power source to the rectilinearly moving rack; and a guide having a curve that is concentric with the curved arm, which guides the curved arm along the curve.
Abstract:
A vehicle door (10) includes an inner door panel (11). The inner door panel includes a door frame (20) and elongated members (25, 26). The elongated members extend in a front-and-rear direction of a vehicle body. The elongated members have fragile sections (60) each extending in a widthwise direction of the vehicle body to provide a stepped portion. The fragile section fractures under the action of a fracturing stress produced when a compression force (FO) greater than predetermined intensity acts on the elongated members. One element of the elongated member having the thus fractured fragile section then moves to absorb the compression force, thereby enhancing a passenger protecting performance of the vehicle door.
Abstract:
A rack includes a closed position teeth portion meshed with a teeth portion of an output gear when the rack is disposed at a closed position corresponding to a closed position of an opening and closing member and an opened position teeth portion meshed with the teeth portion of the output gear when the rack is disposed at an opened position corresponding to an opened position of the opening and closing member and a clearance between faces of teeth of the closed position teeth portion and the teeth portion of the output gear is made larger than a clearance between faces of teeth of the opened position teeth portion and the teeth portion of the output gear.

Abstract:
Vehicle door (10) is provided which includes an inner door panel (11) made of a magnesium alloy. The magnesium alloy has relatively small toughness although it is light in weight. Passenger protecting cover (51) made of a material having greater toughness than the magnesium alloy is fixed to a portion of the inner door panel facing a seat (40) or its vicinity in overlapped relation to that portion. Such arrangements can reduce the weight of the vehicle door and enhance passenger protecting performance of the door.
Abstract:
An apparatus is provided in which a motor 11 with reduction gears, a clutch 12 and a gas stay are provided between a vehicle body 2 and a tailgate 1 so that a fully opened position of the tailgate can be held by virtue of a thrust of the gas stay only, and in this apparatus, when a closure of the tailgate from its own weight is detected after the motor with reduction gears is disconnected, the motor with reduction gears is connected to the tailgate to drive to forcibly close it after the tailgate is driven to be opened to the fully opened position thereof. By this construction, when the holding force of the opened position is short, since the tailgate is closed after it is opened to the fully opened position once, cargo loading and unloading work can be completed while the tailgate is so closed.
Abstract:
A supporting structure of a window glass of a vehicle includes a window runner, which has a junction and an engagement part. The window runner is fixed to the vehicle's cabin side surface of the window glass through the junction, and is engage with a guide rail provided at the vehicle's cabin side through the engagement part.
