摘要: A primary resilient member urges a primary limiting member into a recess in an inserting direction in a state where a rotational phase is a limited phase in a limited phase range. A relative slide gap is radially provided between the primary limiting member and a secondary limiting member at a location adjacent to a working chamber. First and second primary slide gaps are radially provided between the primary limiting member and radially opposed wall surface sections of the receiving hole. A secondary slide gap is radially provided between the secondary limiting member and a radially opposed wall surface section of the receiving hole. The relative slide gap is larger than the first and second primary slide gaps and the secondary slide gap.

摘要: An actuator for a valve lift controller linearly driving a control shaft of a changing mechanism comprises a feed screw mechanism including a screwed shaft linearly moving along with the control shaft, and a rotation spindle rotating coaxially with the screwed shaft. The feed screw mechanism converts a rotational movement of the rotation spindle into a linear movement of the screwed shaft. Moreover, the actuator comprises a unit attached to the rotation spindle, an electric power distributor located at an opposite side of the screw mechanism relative to the changing mechanism, and an stopper member restricting a movement of the unit in the axial direction from an electric power distributor to the unit.

摘要: A valve timing adjusting apparatus includes a housing, a vane rotor, and a spiral spring. The spiral spring has a most radially inward part engaged with a rotational shaft of the vane rotor in a state, where the most radially inward part is wound around the rotational shaft. The rotational phase has an intermediate position defined between a full retard position and a full advance position of the rotational phase. The spiral spring has a radially outward segment that is located radially outward of the most radially inward part. When the rotational phase is in a range on a retard side of the intermediate position or on an advance side of the intermediate position, the radially outward segment is engaged with the stopper such that the spiral spring urges the vane rotor in the advance direction or in the retard direction relative to the housing, respectively.

摘要: A variable valve timing device includes a control valve for switching fluid communication among ports. The control valve includes a sleeve, a spool, a movable member, and resilient members. A first resilient member pushes the spool in both of the regions. A second resilient member acts on the spool via the movable member engaged with the spool in an advancing region. In a lock region, the movable member rests on the sleeve to enable the spool to move freely from the second resilient member. As a result, force acting on the spool can be restricted in the lock region. The movable member is supported from a radial inside by the spool and is radially distanced from the sleeve. As a result, it is possible to reduce a sliding resistance acting on the movable member.

摘要: A valve timing control apparatus for controlling valve timing includes a first rotor, a second rotor, and a controller. The second rotor and the first rotor defines therebetween an advance chamber and a retard chamber. The controller includes a supply passage, at least one drain passage, a spool valve, at least one connection passage, and at least one check valve. The at least one connection passage connects the supply passage to the at least one drain passage when a spool of the spool valve is moved to one of the advance and retard positions. The at least one check valve is respectively provided in the at least one connection passage. The check valve allows working fluid to flow in a direction from the at least one drain passage toward the supply passage and limits working fluid from flowing in an opposite direction.
