    摘要: Herein disclosed is a method for manufacturing a base plate for a recording disc, which comprises steps of polishing the surface of the base plate of glass or aluminum, thereafter dispersing uniformly micro-crystals on the polished surface to form a portion where the micro-crystals are in contact with said polished surface, and subjecting the base plate to etching treatment with an etching agent in a gas phase or a liquid phase. Also disclosed is a base plate for a recording disc, which is obtained by uniformly dispersing micro-crystals on the surface of the base plate and subjecting the same to etching treatment, said base plate having very fine convexities and concavities on its surface.

    摘要: The invention provides a method for efficiently producing, in a low temperature region, a thin film or micro-spherules of a single component type or a multi-component type metal oxide glass, wherein an organic metal compound is subjected to hydrolyzation in a reaction liquid consisting of water and an organic solvent, with halogen ions (F−, Cl−) as a catalyst in the presence of boron ions (B′), followed by dehydration and condensation, after which a reaction product is vitrified at a temperature of 200° C. or below, thereby obtaining the single component type or multi-component type metal oxide glass film (reaction at a pH value between 5.0 and 4.5), or micro-spherules (reaction at a pH value between 8 an 10). Transparent and homogeneous glass film or micro-spherules, which are excellent in the heat-resistance, moisture-resistance, insulating property, gas-barrier property, and ion-migration preventive property, can be obtained in a normal temperature region.

    摘要: To propose a method of cleaning a surface of a glass substrate fabricated by a process of strengthening a surface thereof by alkaline ion exchange reaction by selectively removing alkaline metal on the surface by cleaning the surface by using an activated ionic water produced by electric polarization and as a result, to provide a glass substrate for a magnetic disk having a magnetic medium with insignificant corrosion and excellent S/N ratio, in cleaning a glass substrate for a magnetic disk using a glass substrate pulled up from a chemically strengthening treatment solution produced by an alkaline ion exchange reaction, after a final polishing step of fabricating the glass substrate for a magnetic disk, the glass substrate is cleaned by an activated anodically electrolyzed water produced by electric polarization to thereby selectively remove the alkaline metal at the vicinity of the surface.
