    摘要: A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery capable of withstanding a reflow temperature has a positive electrode having a conductive material, a binder, and an electrode active material selected from the group consisting of LiCoO2, LiNiO2 and LiMn2O4. A negative electrode has a conductive material, a binder and an electrode active material selected from the group consisting of a titanium oxide having an anatase structure, lithium titanate having a spinel structure and a molybdenum oxide. An electrolyte has a supporting salt and a non-aqueous solvent having a boiling point greater than 200° C. A gasket is comprised of a material having a heat deformation temperature greater than 230° C. A separator is disposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode and is comprised of a material having a heat deformation temperature greater than 230° C. At least one of the positive electrode and the negative electrode comprises an electrode heat-treated to a temperature of 250° C. to 450° C. for deactivating a thermally active portion of each of the conductive material, the binder and the electrode active material thereof.

    摘要: A non-aqueous electrolyte electrochemical cell comprises a negative electrode, a positive electrode, a non-aqueous electrolyte, a positive electrode case and a negative electrode case. The positive electrode case comprises a high-grade corrosion resistibility stainless steel having a pitting index between 30.5 and 45, the pitting index being calculated by the formula Cr %+3.times.Mo %+16.times.N %. An enhanced pressure sealed electrochemical cell can be manufactured in which the production cost of the positive electrode case is reduced and the productivity of the electrochemical cell improved by suppression of anodic oxidation of the positive electrode case.

    摘要: An electrochemical cell has an outer case formed of one of ceramics and glass. An electrochemical cell element is hermetically sealed in the outer case. The electrochemical cell element contains a positive pole, a negative pole, and a non-aqueous electrolyte containing an organic solvent. A metal layer is formed on an edge of the outer case. A sealing plate is resistance welded to the metal layer. The sealing plate is made of an alloy containing, in weight percentage, Co by 1 to 50%, Ni by 1 to 70%, Fe by 20% or higher, Cr by 10% or lower, Mn by 2.0% or lower, Si by 1.0% or lower and C by 1.0% or lower.
