摘要： An information signal recording/reproducing apparatus includes a recording apparatus and a reproducing apparatus. The recording apparatus is arranged to record on a recording medium an information signal after angle-modulating the signal in such a way as to cause a signal corresponding to a timewise portion of the angle-modulated information signal to be in a given relation to a reference signal. The reproducing apparatus is arranged to angle-demodulate the angle-modulated information signal when it is reproduced from the recording medium, and to perform time base correction on the basis of the signal part of the angle-modulated information signal. Time base variations occurring during the reproduction can be accurately carried out by the arrangement without having any special signal added to the information signal during recording.

摘要： The present invention relates to an encoding apparatus for digitizing and encoding an input image signal, the input image signal being sequentially sampled to sequentially form sample signals at respective sample points. The encoding data which respectively correspond to the sample signals at respective sample points are formed, and the plurality of resultant encoding data are sequentially output on a group unit basis of k (k being an integer equal to or greater than 2) encoding data in accordance with the order different from the forming order of the encoding data. In accordance with a combination of the k encoding data which have been output, the k encoding data are converted into the data train having less DC and low frequency components and output, so that the image signal can be highly efficiently encoded.

摘要： An image information signal transmitting system of this invention is a system which divides an image information signal for one picture constituted by a set of picture element data into blocks each constituted by a predetermined quantity of picture element data, transmits the picture element data on each of the blocks on the basis of a mode selected from among a plurality of transmission modes each of which allows a different quantity of picture element data to be transmitted and a mode information signal indicative of the transmission mode of each of the blocks, and restores the picture element data on each of the blocks to the original image information signal. The system is arranged to store the transmitted picture element data, read out the stored picture element data at a data readout rate of one kind which is selected from among a plurality of different data readout rates and which corresponds to the kind of transmission mode indicated by the transmitted mode information signal, and implement a data restoring processing on the picture element data thus read on the basis of a data restoring processing of one kind which is selected from among a plurality of different data restoring processings and which corresponds to the kind of transmission mode indicated by the transmitted mode information signal. With this arrangement, it is possible to realize reductions in the size, weight and cost of the apparatus without deteriorating an image information signal to be transmitted.

摘要： An image information transmission apparatus of this invention encodes and transmits image information. An image information signal of one frame consisting of a plurality of pixel data is divided into a plurality of blocks each consisting of a predetermined number of pixel data. At least two reference value data associated with a dynamic range of levels of the pixel data constituting each of the divided blocks, and distribution state data associated with a distribution state thereof are formed. Each pixel data constituting the block is encoded on the basis of the formed reference value data and the formed distribution state data to obtain encoded data. A transmission data series is formed and transmitted using the formed reference value data, the formed distribution state data, and the encoded data as transmission units. Therefore, the image information signal can be highly effectively transmitted with minimum image quality degradation caused by encoding.
