    摘要: Disclosed is an open-end spinning machine which comprises a feed roller and a top roller for positively feeding a spun yarn from a spinning unit, a traverse guide for traversing the spun yarn in a direction perpendicular to the spun yarn feeding direction, a winding drum for frictionally rotating a conical surface bobbin for winding the traversed yarn to form a conical cheese, a guide or guides for absorbing yarn path length variations caused by the traverse motion of the spun yarn and by the conical angle of the conical cheese during the winding operation, a device for adjusting the guide in response to the conical angle of the conical cheese. By utilizing this machine, a good-shaped conical cheese of an open-end spun yarn having a uniform hardness along the axial direction of the cheese is obtained. Furthermore, this machine can be utilized for winding of various cheeses having various conical angles.

    摘要: A yarn winding mechanism includes a reference point through which the yarn always passes during yarn piecing-up and normal winding operations, a pair of yarn taking-out rollers disposed above the reference point, and a traversing device from which the yarn is wound onto a cone cheese. In order to cause the winding mechanism to soon begin and then continue the normal winding operation after completion of the yarn piecing-up, a device for compensating changes in yarn tension is disposed between the traversing device and the yarn taking-out rollers with a yarn guide surface extending generally parallel to the axis of the taking-out roller, and the upper taking-out roller is formed with a yarn catch in one end face edge thereof on the larger diameter side of the cone cheese, the yarn catch being arranged in an optimum position with respect to the parallelly extending surface of the tension compensating device and the reference point.

    摘要: When an open end spinning machine is stopped, a fiber supply to a spinning rotor is first stopped and thereafter, substantially simultaneously with stoppage of both a yarn take-up roller and a yarn winding roller, a yarn end is held by a yarn holding device at a time when it still remains in a region which undergoes the suction effect of a subatmospheric pressure produced in the spinning rotor. The spinning rotor is subsequently stopped. On starting, the holding of the yarn end by the yarn holding device continues even after restarting of the spinning machine until the subatmospheric pressure produced in the spinning rotor reaches substantially the same value as that produced during a normal spinning operation. Therefore, there is prevented any snarling phenomenon, resulting in a greatly increased success rate in the operation of connecting yarn ends on re-starting of the spinning machine.

    摘要: In a fiber opening device in open-end spinning unit, having a combing roller which is encased by a casing and forming a fiber transferring passage between said combing roller and said casing, a wear-resistant member, preferably a member having a pin shape, is provided at an edge of an opening, e.g. a trash exit port opening formed in said casing and communicated with said passage. The structure of the fiber opening device according to the present invention makes possible easy installation of the wear-resistant member, and prevents harmful wear or bruising at said edge portion of the opening in the casing.

    摘要: An open end spinning machine includes a plurality of spinning units. Each spinning unit includes a first yarn breakage sensing device assuming a yarn sensing, operative position, in which it contacts the yarn, when the spinning unit is in a normal spinning operation and an inoperative position, in which it is not in contact with the yarn, when the spinning unit is in a transient condition either from or to the normal spinning operation, and a second yarn breakage sensing device assuming a yarn sensing position at least when the spinning unit is in the transient condition. Upon occurrence of yarn breakage when the spinning unit is in the transient condition, such breakage is detected by the second yarn breakage sensing device and the supply of fibers to the associated spinning unit is interrupted by the second yarn breakage sensing device.
