    摘要: A yarn traversing apparatus which includes a pair of oppositely rotating blades for respectively moving the yarn in opposite directions along a main guide edge in a medial portion of the yarn traverse stroke. An auxiliary yarn guide is mounted in each of the ends of the traverse stroke. The main guide edge and the auxiliary guide edges extend through the traverse plane from opposite sides thereof, and they are configured so that the main guide edge guides the yarn and controls its speed along the medial portion of the stroke and the auxiliary yarn guides guide the yarn and controls its speed in the end regions of the stroke. The yarn tension thereby can be maintained substantially constant along the full length of the stroke.

    摘要: A yarn winding mechanism includes a reference point through which the yarn always passes during yarn piecing-up and normal winding operations, a pair of yarn taking-out rollers disposed above the reference point, and a traversing device from which the yarn is wound onto a cone cheese. In order to cause the winding mechanism to soon begin and then continue the normal winding operation after completion of the yarn piecing-up, a device for compensating changes in yarn tension is disposed between the traversing device and the yarn taking-out rollers with a yarn guide surface extending generally parallel to the axis of the taking-out roller, and the upper taking-out roller is formed with a yarn catch in one end face edge thereof on the larger diameter side of the cone cheese, the yarn catch being arranged in an optimum position with respect to the parallelly extending surface of the tension compensating device and the reference point.

    摘要: High-speed cross-winding apparatus with two traverse motion devices for winding elongated materials, especially continuous filaments, into packages and embodying a reciprocable thread guide as a first traversing device, and a second traversing device in the form of a roller with spiral, thread-guiding grooves, the first and second traverse motion devices being driven synchronously, and a drive roller for driving the package being driven independently thereof. The grooves of the latter traverse roller have variable depth for winding tension uniformity, and may also temporarily accelerate stroke velocity above the stroke velocity of the first traverse device immediately before and/or after stroke reversal. The groove depth increases from the middle of the roller to a maximum depth preceding the stroke reversal point and then either (a) immediately and continuously decreases in depth or (b) immediately decreases, then increases and then again decreases in depth.

    摘要: An improved compensator device is provided to maintain a constant sliver path length between a pair of calender rolls and a reciprocable twister assembly of a balling mechanism. The compensator device includes a guide through which the sliver passes and a resilient link which carries the guide and flexes to enable the guide to move during reciprocation of the twister. The resilient link is formed by a plurality of flexible strips which extend between a universal joint mounted in a fixed relationship with the calender rolls and a second universal joint which is connected with the twister.

    摘要: A device for winding a thread onto a spool body is comprised of a main thread traversing guide having a stroke a and a compensating thread traversing guide with a stroke a/2. The thread is guided from a thread feeding device via a stationary deflecting guide roller, a third deflecting guide roller which corresponds to the compensating thread traversing guide, and a second deflecting guide roller which is connected to the main thread traversing guide. The threading device is comprised of a device for clamping the thread to one end of the spool body, a thread guide plate, the curved upper edge of which serves to transport the thread past the stationary deflecting guide roller onto a thread guide edge and to a thread catch. The thread is threaded into the second deflecting guide roller by a first follower connected to the main thread traversing guide. With a second follower connected to the main thread traversing guide the thread is removed from the thread catch during the return stroke and is threaded into the stationary guide roller. A thread loop is conveyed with the second follower past the third deflecting guide roller corresponding to the compensating thread traversing guide and after a further return stroke is threaded into this third deflecting guide roller by a third follower.
