Abstract:
FILTER CLOGGING IN DRY-CLEANING MACHINES IS REDUCED AND FILTER LIFE IS EXTENDED BY USING A DRY-CLEANING SOLVENT CONTAINING A FLOCCULAANT. A DRY-CLEANING COMPOSITION IS DISCLOSED WHICH COMPRISES A DRY-CLEANING SOLVENT, ABOUT 50 TO 1000 P.P.M. FLOCCULANT, AND ABOUT 0.1 TO 2% DETERGENT.
Abstract:
A RESINOUS COMPOSITION, SUITABLE AS A SOLVENTLESS IMPREGNATING RESIN FOR LARGE ROTATING APPARATUS INSULATION, IS MADE FROM A MIXTURE CONTAINING ABOUT 85 TO 115 PARTS OF A BISPHENOL A OR NOVOLAC GLYCIDYL ETHER EPOXY RESIN, ABOUT 100 TO 155 PARTS OF AN ACID ANHYDRIDE AND ABOUT 25 TO 95 PARTS OF A DIGLYCIDYL ETHER OF NEOPENTYL GLYCOL.
Abstract:
A grooved adaptor, two of which may be mounted by means of spring clips inside the window of a conventional through-type current transformer to permit the transformer to be mounted on a flat spade-type terminal for current metering. The adaptors have grooves therein which are opposite to each other when the adaptors are properly positioned in the window of the transformer. The grooves receive opposite edges of the flat spade terminal. The grooves have flexible ribs or teeth extending thereinto which may be removed to permit the grooves to receive spade-terminals of different thicknesses.
Abstract:
A RESINOUS COMPOSITION, SUITABLE AS A LOW COST POTTING COMPOUND, IS MADE FROM A MIXTURE CONTAINING ABOUT 90 TO 120 PARTS OF A CYCLOALIPHATIC OR ACYLIC ALIPHATIC NONGLYCIDYL ETHER EPOXY RESIN, ABOUT 5 TO 120 PARTS OF A DIGLYCIDYL ETHER EPOXY RESIN, ABOUT 50 TO 200 PARTS OF AN ACID ANHYDRIDE AND ABOUT 0.08 TO 0.9 PART OF A QUATERNARY ORGANIC PHOSPHONIUM SALT ACTING AS A LATENT CATALYST.
Abstract:
A BINDING TAPE IS MADE BY COATING A RIBBON HAVING GLASS FIBERS IN THE FILL DIRECTION AND A FLEXIBLE, THERMALLYSTABLE FIBER IN THE WRAP DIRECTION, WITH A SWELLABLE RESIN COMPOSITION AND REMOVING THE EXCESS COMPOSITION. THE TAPE IS LAP-WOUND OVER AN ELECTRICAL CONDUCTOR WHICH IS THE IMMERSED IN SOLVENTLESS RESIN UNDER PRESSURE. THE CONDUCTOR IS REMOVED FROM THE SOLVENT RESIN AND THE TAPE PREVENT THE SOLVENTLESS RESIN FROM SEEPING OUT BEFORE IT IS CURED.
Abstract:
A binding tape is made by coating a ribbon having glass fibers in the fill direction and a flexible, thermally stable fiber in tee warp direction, with a swellable resin composition and removing the excess composition. The tape is lap-wound over an electrical conductor which is then immersed in solventless resin under pressure. The conductor is removed from the solventless resin and the tape prevents the solventless resin from seeping out before it is cured.
Abstract:
A RESINOUS COMPOSITION, SUITABLE FOR INSULATING ELECTRICAL MEMBERS, IS MADE FROM A MIXTURE CONTAINING ABOUT 90 TO 120 PARTS OF GLYCIDYL ETHER EPOXY RESIN, ABOUT 130 TO 165 PARTS OF AN ACID ANHYDRIDE AND ABOUT 0.02 TO 0.70 PART OF A QUATERNARY ORGANIC PHOSPHONIUM SALT ACTING AS A LATENT CATALYST.
