摘要: Methods and apparatuses are provided using RFID devices to assist in determining an open status of a container. For example, a first RFID tag is fixed to a first portion of the container and a second RFID tag is fixed to a second portion of the container. Upon a user action to at least partially open the container, the first and second portions will move relative to each other, such that one or more of the RFID tags will no longer be readable by the RFID-tag reader or will now be readable by the reader. The reading or cessation of reading of one or more RFID tags indicates at least one open status of the container. In some embodiments, the open status is at least one of an unsealing confirmation, an open motion initiation status, an open motion confirmation, a partial open status and a fully open status.

摘要: Described in detail herein are systems and methods for interacting with an interactive display using a shopping cart. A user navigate a shopping cart to a computing system including an interactive display and can actuate or press one or more push buttons associated with RFID tags integrated with the handle portion on a shopping cart to interact with the interactive display. A unique identifier can be associated with each RFID tag. A RFID reader disposed with respect to the computing system can detect the unique identifiers associated with the one or more detected RFID tags. The RFID reader can transmit the unique identifiers to the computing system. The computing system can execute the retrieved actions on the interactive display, based on the one or more buttons actuated or pushed and the correlated RFID tags.

摘要: In some embodiments, apparatuses and methods are provided herein useful to creating a crowdsourced delivery plan. In some embodiments, a system for creating a crowdsourced delivery plan for a package comprises a certification system configured to receive, from a retailer, an indication of items included in the package, determine, based on the indication of items included in the package, a set of requirements, and transmit, to a plurality of portable devices, information regarding the delivery, each of the plurality of portable devices configured to receive, from the certification system, the information regarding the delivery, transmit, to the certification system, an acceptance of the delivery, wherein only ones of the plurality of portable devices associated with delivery agents meeting the set of requirements is capable of acceptance of the delivery, receive, in response to the transmission of the acceptance, an authorization, and present, at a pickup point, the authorization.

摘要: In some embodiments, system, apparatuses and methods are provided useful for delivering packages. One such configuration may include storage lockers and a control circuit that detects proximity of delivery agents to a locker, and in response, sends a code to an agent that verifies the agent upon receipt of the code therefrom. In another configuration, the control circuit associates a storage locker with a customer profile, detects a customer approaching and a first authentication aspect, receives a second authentication aspect, and compares the authentication aspects with the customer profile. In another example, a control circuit associates a delivery container with a customer profile and the delivery agents handling the container, and upon receiving a package scan, compares the scan with aspects associated with responsible delivery agents. In another example, a control circuit receives sensed data from a customer and authenticates delivery by comparing the sensed data with delivery agent profiles.

摘要: In some embodiments, apparatuses and methods are provided herein useful for processing shipments at a store such that products are routed to the store floor, another delivery vehicle, a packing or unpacking area, or directly to a customer. In some embodiments, a distribution system includes a delivery database, an order database, sensors configured to identify items as they are unloaded from a shipment, and a control circuit. By one approach, the control circuit creates a routing plan with placement instructions for bundles, containers, and pallets of items in the shipment based on the inventory records and the customer orders in the order database (which can be updated with new orders during transit of the shipment). Further, the control circuit is configured to receive identifying information, via the sensors, for items unloaded and send instructions to an associate unloading the bundle, container, or pallet regarding a placement location for the items.

摘要: A presently-powered RFID tag can itself determine its own relative movement with respect to a reader. This RFID tag can responsively alter its read state to thereby permit the RFID tag to respond to a subsequent read inquiry. By one approach the RFID tag assesses its own movement by monitoring the strength of its received power. By another approach, the RFID tag has a power source that becomes electrically charged via radio-frequency energy received by the tag antenna and that power source is configured to become operably discharged at a point in time that corresponds to a typical null-sensing duration of time for a given application setting for that RFID tag.

摘要: In some embodiments, systems and methods are provided herein useful to enable delivery of commercial products to customers. In some embodiments, the system comprises an autonomous ground vehicle on a delivery route to deliver commercial products to a person of interest. The AGV comprises control circuits communicatively coupled to sensors. The control circuits, using sensor data, determines whether a person positioned within a threshold distance relative to the AGV is the PoI; allow the PoI to designate an intention of a second person positioned within the threshold distance as being friendly or adverse relative to the PoI; determine the intention of the second person; receive a command from the PoI overriding the determination that the second person's intention is adverse to the PoI; and allow the PoI to take possession of the commercial products when the designated intention is friendly relative to the PoI and the command is received.

摘要: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are provided herein for providing reminders. A system for providing reminders comprises a communication device configured to receive location information associated with at least a vehicle, a mobile device, and a tracker coupled to an item, a movement pattern database, and a control circuit. The control circuit being configured to: track a current movement pattern of the vehicle, the mobile device, and the tracker based on the location information received via the communication device, select an expected movement pattern from the movement pattern database based on the location information associated with one or more of the vehicle, the mobile device, and the tracker, compare the current movement pattern of the vehicle, the mobile device, and the tracker with the expected movement pattern, and generate an alert based on detecting a deviation from the expected movement pattern.
