    摘要: A method and apparatus for accessing a track in a recording medium during a stopped state of recording or reproduction. The method includes accessing a recording and/or reproducing device to a desired track of a plurality of tracks on the information recording medium. The recording and/or reproducing device and the recording medium are not relatively moved in a longitudinal direction of the tracks, while the recording and/or reproducing device is moved relative to the recording medium in a direction which crosses the tracks. The apparatus for recording and/or reproducing information includes a device for recording information on and/or reproducing information from a recording medium having a plurality of parallel tracks, a first driving device for moving the recording medium relative to the recording and/or reproducing device in a longitudinal direction of the tracks, a second driving device for moving the recording and/or reproducing device relative to the recording medium in a direction crossing the tracks, and a device for controlling the first driving device for disabling the first driving device when the second driving device is operated.

    摘要: An engine starting system includes a throttle valve, an alternator, an engine speed sensor and an electronic control unit (ECU). The ECU functionally includes an automatic engine stop controller for automatically stopping the engine by interrupting fuel injection when predefined automatic engine stop conditions are satisfied, and an automatic engine restart controller for automatically restarting the engine when predefined engine restart conditions are satisfied. The automatic engine stop controller sets the quantity of intake air at a level higher than a minimum quantity of intake air necessary for keeping the engine running, decreases the amount of electric power generated by the alternator in an early part of automatic engine stop control operation, and decreases the quantity of intake air and causes the alternator to once decrease the amount of electric power generated thereby at a point in time when the engine speed drops down to a predetermined reference engine speed, and causes the alternator to later increase the amount of electric power generated thereby.

    摘要: When an engine restart request is given in an engine stopping period which begins at a point of fuel supply interruption and ends at a point of complete engine stop, an engine starting system judges whether TDC engine speed detected immediately before is equal to or lower than a specific value “A”, the counted number of reverse running motions of the engine is 0, and a piston in an expansion stroke cylinder is relatively close to TDC. If the judgment result is in the affirmative with all these conditions satisfied, the engine starting system injects fuel into the expansion stroke cylinder and then ignites and combusts a mixture produced therein. The engine starting system also injects the fuel into a compression stroke cylinder and then ignites and combusts a mixture produced therein when a piston in the compression stroke cylinder has gone beyond TDC.

Furthermore, an operation of an accessory (32) performed after the fuel cut is controlled to adjust an engine load so that an engine rotation speed (Net) when passing the final TDC falls within a specific speed range (P) determined in advance. Accordingly, a piston (5) of a Compression-Stop Cylinder (2C) is stopped with high accuracy at a target position that is set on a bottom dead center-side of an intermediate position (CAx) between top dead center and bottom dead center, and a restart time of the engine is thereby reduced.

    摘要: An engine starting system includes a throttle valve, an alternator, an engine speed sensor and an electronic control unit (ECU).     摘要: An information recording and/or reproducing apparatus which can prohibit an optical head from trying to access a data track which does not exist on the optical recording medium. The information recording and/or reproducing apparatus is used with an optical recording medium having a plurality of tracks. The information recording and/or reproducing apparatus comprises an optical head which irradiates the optical recording medium with a light beam and detects reflected light from the optical recording medium, a device for controlling the apparatus so as to read information about a number of the tracks of the optical recording medium, and memorize the information as an initial action.
