    摘要: A ferroresonant transformer to produce an output voltage that has a substantially constant output voltage that is substantially free of harmonics includes a ferromagnetic core with a winding part and primary and secondary windings on that part. The core also includes a flux return part. Magnetic shunts magnetically couple some of the flux from the core between the primary and secondary windings to the flux return part. The core includes a region with a reduced cross-sectional area that constitutes an air gap to form a built-in inductor. The remainder of the core works with the secondary winding and a resonating capacitor to generate a substantially harmonic-free, constant-voltage output. The transformer may have one set of primary-secondary windings if it is to operate on single-phase alternating current, or it may have multiple sets if it is to operate on multi-phase alternating current.

    摘要: This invention discloses a bend insensitive single mode fiber, which is composed by a bare glass fiber with a round cross section and two resin protective layers with circular cross sections surrounding the outer of the bare glass fiber. It is characterized in that the bare glass fiber is composed by a core layer with a round cross section and two claddings with circular cross sections. The refractive index of the core layer is higher than the index of the two claddings and the refractive index difference between the core layer and the first cladding is larger than the difference between the first and second claddings. The second cladding is made of pure SiO2. The refractive index profile of the core layer follows a power function, and the refractive index profile of the two claddings follow a ladder-type distribution. The loss of the invented fiber is insensitive to the bending of the fiber, which meets the requirements of ITU.T G.657.A and G.657.B standards, respectively. It is applicable to the Fiber To The Home (FTTH) and other local area network and the access network systems.

    摘要: A filter uses a special autotransformer that has a ferromagnetic core with a plurality of legs and flux return bars. A first coil is located on one leg, and a second coil is located on the same leg, but spaced from the first coil. The first coil and at least part of the second coil are connected in series to receive distorted alternating current and at least that part of the second coil is connected to an output terminal. Between the coils and extending at least part of the way from the first leg to an adjacent leg is a magnetic shunt assembly to divert part of the flux generated in the first coil by the alternating current so that that part does not link with the second coil. An air gap is located to link with the second coil to create an inductor in that coil by flux in the second coil, and a capacitor is connected across the second coil to tune it to the fundamental frequency of the alternating current and substantially reduce harmonics in that current.

The image sensor is disposed closely adjacent to the cavity such that a back focal length is substantially zero.
