摘要: This invention relates to a method of converting a user bitstream into a coded bitstream by means of a runlengh limited (d, k) channel code where the channel code has a constraint of d=1. In order to ensure an improvement in bit detection performance an additional RMTR constraint of r=2 is imposed limiting to two the maximum number of minimum runs allowed by the d=1 constraint. An additional advantage of such a code is a limitation of the back-tracking depth of a Viterbi bit-detector Based on two different k constraints the construction of such d=1 and r=2 codes is disclosed.

摘要: A substrate layer structure (100) is adapted to carry electronic device, or components, or electro-mechanical, or electro-chemical sensors, or a combination thereof, and is adapted to be attached to a surface of a human or animal body or biological species. The surface of the flexible substrate layer structure is patterned with a pre-fixed geometry formed by one or more slits (101-701, 502-702). The geometry is selected such that a stretchability of the substrate layer structure becomes adapted to the geometry of the body surface under it.

摘要: A system comprises a capacitive sensing unit for capturing an electrophysiological signal from a body part. The capacitive sensing unit includes a first electrode plate that forms a capacitor with the body part. Motion of the electrode plate with respect to the body part may be detected by a motion sensitive unit mechanically coupled to the capacitive sensing unit. The motion sensitive unit detects motion by self-mixing interferometry. Then, a processing unit rejects the electrophysiological signal if a great displacement of the electrode plate is detected.

摘要: The present disclosure provides for systems and methods enabling the insertion of leads (as used e.g., in a framework of the brain treatment therapies) through a target anatomy for conforming with a target tissue region. An exemplary lead includes at least a partially curved portion for conforming with a geometry defined by the target tissue region. In an exemplary embodiment, the system relates to stimulating targets in the brain for improved post-operative steering of an applied electric field. The leads can be either pre-curved or put under transversal mechanical strain during insertion such that a certain curved curvature of the insertion trajectory is achieved. The system includes at least a first insertion tool removably engaged with respect to the lead for guiding and providing mechanical support to the lead during insertion.

By measuring the temperatures for the two pairs of temperature sensors, the core (11) body temperature may be derived. This device allows more design freedom, and it is easier to manufacture and gives a more accurate core temperature.

摘要: A system for generating a quality indicator for a trellis decoded signal based on the path metrics of the decoding is presented. An apparatus comprises a path metric processor (105) which determines path metric differences between two path metrics entering a state of a trellis decoder 103. A measured distribution processor (107) orders the path difference metrics to generate a measured distribution. An analysis distribution processor (109) fits a distribution being the sum of a first and second distribution path to the measured distribution. A quality indicator processor (111) determines a quality indicator in response to the fitted distribution. In particular, the first distribution may be associated with correct sign path metric differences and the second distribution may be associated with incorrect sign path metric differences. The quality indicator processor (111) preferably determines the quality indicator in response to only the first distribution thereby reducing the degradation caused by the incorrect sign path metric differences.
