摘要: An automated process for equalizing an audio system and an apparatus for implementing the process. An audio system includes a microphone unit, for receiving the sound waves radiated from a plurality of speakers, acoustic measuring circuitry, for calculating frequency response measurements; a memory, for storing characteristic data of the loudspeaker units and further for storing the frequency response measurements; and equalization calculation circuitry, for calculating an equalization pattern responsive to the digital data and responsive to the characteristic data of the plurality of loudspeaker units. Also described is an automated equalizing system including a acoustic measuring circuitry including a microphone for measuring frequency response at a plurality of locations; a memory, for storing the frequency responses at the plurality of locations; and equalization calculation circuitry, for calculating, from the frequency responses, an optimized equalization pattern.

摘要: A method and apparatus for controlling a surgical ablation device. Two electrodes of an ablation device against the surface of tissue. The tissue impedance is measured between the electrodes. The electrodes are energized based on the measured tissue impedance. If the measured tissue impedance is between a first threshold impedance and a second threshold impedance, the electrodes are energized to output a substantially constant wattage. If the measured tissue impedance is greater than the second threshold impedance, the electrodes are energized to output a variable wattage, the variable wattage being inversely related to the impedance of the tissue.

摘要: A radio frequency identification fob is disclosed which includes a body and a cover engaged with each other as a fob to enclose a radio frequency identification device. The body and the cover are typically molded plastic. The engagement of the cover to the body may be via an elongated alignment ridge coupled in slideable manner in an elongated mating groove substantially along the major axis of the body. The cover may be secured engaged with the cover by a fastener that could include a releasable latch engaged with a catch. The fob could further include an attachment device such as a key ring to couple the fob to other personal items.

摘要: A surgical device has an integral first tip having pair of electrodes configured to ablate tissue using electric energy. A second tip has a pair of electrodes configured to provide pacing signals to a heart and/or to sense electrical signals passing through heart tissue. The second tip is configured to snap onto the first tip, such that the same device may be used for ablation, pacing, and sensing. Alternatively, the second tip may be integral with the device and the first tip configured to snap onto the second tip. Alternatively, a single integral tip of the surgical device may be used for ablation, pacing, and sensing. Such a multipurpose tip may comprise a plurality of electrode pairs or an array of electrodes. A user interface on the device or elsewhere may be operable to provide selectable modes for selectively varying properties of signals communicated to the electrodes.

摘要: A pool cover support assembly for supporting a pool cover over a swimming pool. The assembly basically comprises a central upstanding post and plural, flexible, flaccid straps. The upstanding post is arranged to extend upward from the bottom surface of the pool to a point above the sidewall of the pool. Each strap is arranged for securement to the top of the post and to be extended for releasable securement to the pool adjacent the pool's sidewall and tightened to form a generally downwardly directed conically shaped umbrella-like-frame over which the pool cover can be disposed.

摘要: A method is provided for treating a subject in need of therapy for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and related CNS disorder symptoms of impaired learning, impaired planning impaired problem solving, impulsiveness, attention deficit and aggression comprising administering to said subject an amount of a ketogenic material sufficient to produce a ketosis in the subject sufficient to provide therapeutic benefit in such behavioural disorders. Preferred materials produce a ketosis is such that the total concentration of acetoacetate and (R)-3-hydroxybutyrate in the blood of the subject is raised to between 0.1 and 30 mM.

摘要: A method of monitoring the production history of consumable animal primal cuts. Data collected from animal breeders and animal feeders is provided to a centralized data management system. An independent auditor also collects data on the operations of animal feeders. The data is analyzed to identify trends or relationships between aspects of the production lifecycle. Quality data on the quality of the primal cuts is also provided to the data management system. Feedback on procedures to be adjusted to improve primal cut quality can be provided to feeders.
