摘要: An air-conditioner having multiple compressors includes: an indoor heat-exchanger disposed indoors and heat-exchanging indoor air; an outdoor heat-exchanger disposed outdoors and heat-exchanging a refrigerant with external air; four compressors for compressing the refrigerant to change the refrigerant to have a high temperature and high pressure; and three accumulators disposed at a suction side of the four compressors and separating the refrigerant into a gas and a liquid to supply a gaseous refrigerant to the compressors. Oil can be uniformly supplied to each compressor, thereby enhancing reliability of compressors, and since the three accumulators are small with low capacities, their installation space can be easily secured.

摘要: An air conditioner incorporates valve devices mounted in a plurality of indoor units, respectively, for allowing refrigerant discharged from an outdoor heat exchanger to be introduced into one or more indoor units that are in operation. The refrigerant is prevented from being introduced into the other indoor units that are not in use, and therefore, oil is prevented from being accumulated in the other indoor units that are not in use. Also, an appropriate amount of refrigerant is supplied to the indoor units that are in operation, and therefore, reliability and efficiency of the air conditioner are improved.

摘要: An air conditioner, in which a controller is installed separately from a plurality of indoor units and a plurality of outdoor units so that only the controller is added and conventional outdoor units are used when plural indoor units are required, thereby reducing costs due to the omission of other outdoor units. 摘要: An air conditioner and a method for controlling the same are disclosed herein. The air conditioner has a capillary tube equipped to a connecting tube which connects a suction pipe and a discharge pipe of a compressor and has an opening/closing valve equipped therein, thereby allowing pressure equilibrium between the suction pipe and the discharge pipe of a compressor to be maintained when the compressor stops operating, and allowing a discharge flux of the compressor to be appropriately controlled when a load is lower than a capacity of the controller under operation. As a result, the air conditioner does not require a separate bypass unit, thereby simplifying the construction of the air conditioner while minimizing the installation space thereof through omission of a separate bypass unit, leading to reduction in costs.

摘要: Disclosed herein is an air conditioner having a single oil separator mounted on a confluent discharging channel, to which are connected discharging channels provided at a plurality of compressors, and an electronic expansion valve, of which the opening level is controllable, mounted on an oil collection pipe connected to the oil separator. As a result, the number of the oil separators is decreased. Consequently, the present invention has the effect of simplifying the structure of the air conditioner and reducing the manufacturing costs of the air conditioner. Furthermore, refrigerant is bypassed by controlling the opening level of the electronic expansion valve to control the flow rate of the refrigerant. Consequently, the present invention has the effect of eliminating an additional bypassing device, and therefore, simplifying the structure of the air conditioner and the controlling method of the air conditioner.

摘要: A method of controlling an over-load cooling operation of an air conditioner includes over-load operation mode in which, when an outdoor pipe temperature and an outdoor temperature exceeds reference temperatures, respectively, the operation capacity is changed to a low-level operation capacity, which is lower than the current operation capacity, the low-level operation capacity being one of plural operation capacities set according to the operation capacities of compressors, and the operation is performed, and normal operation mode in which the outdoor pipe temperature is measured every predetermined period of time after the operation is performed in the over-load operation mode, and, when the measured outdoor pipe temperature is below the reference temperature, the operation is performed according to a signal from a thermostat. The continuous cooling operation is possible even under the over-load condition during the cooling operation of the air conditioner, and the air conditioner system is protected through the variable-capacity operation. Consequently, the present invention has the effect of improving user comfort and improving operational reliability of the air conditioner.
