摘要: A climate-control system includes a variable-capacity compressor, an outdoor ambient temperature sensor, a user-controlled device, and a control module. The outdoor ambient temperature sensor indicates a temperature of outdoor ambient air. The user-controlled device provides a demand signal indicating a demand for at least one of heating and cooling. The control module commands a compressor stage and a stage run time based on the temperature from the outdoor ambient temperature sensor and the demand signal. The control module also modifies a lockout threshold based on a cycle run time, where the cycle run time is an actual run time for the compressor to meet a setpoint temperature.

摘要: A heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) system includes a multi-path expansion device subsystem positioned between a condenser and an evaporator. The multi-path expansion device subsystem includes a flow selector operative to receive a refrigerant from the condenser and selectively deliver the same to a full-load pathway or to a partial-load pathway. The full-load pathway has a modulating valve and a fixed orifice sized for a full-load situation, and the partial-load pathway has a thermal expansion valve (TXV) sized for partial load operation. A controller uses an actuator of the flow selector to choose which pathway is authorized according to certain process logic. Other methods and systems are presented.

摘要: Methods and systems for a MTRS with an ejector system are provided. The system can include a refrigeration circuit that has a compressor, a first heat exchanger downstream of the compressor, first and second heat exchange units downstream of the first heat exchanger, and an ejector system downstream of the first and second heat exchange units and upstream of the compressor. The first heat exchange unit provides independent climate control to a first zone of the transport unit. The second heat exchange unit provides independent climate control to a second zone of the transport unit. The ejector system mixes refrigerant exiting the first heat exchange unit with refrigerant exiting the second heat exchange unit, increases the pressure of the mixed refrigerant, and directs the mixed refrigerant to the compressor.

摘要: A system having a beverage coaster with a receiving coil that can be magnetically coupled or decoupled from a driving coil in a counter, table, bar, and the like. The coaster may be magnetically coupled to the table by moving the coaster into an area where the driving coil generates a magnetic field of sufficient strength. The coaster also includes a switch that activated or deactivated based on its proximity to a magnet in the table. The coaster has a metallic plate on which may be positioned a beverage container. The plate is thermally and mechanically coupled to a Peltier cell that either cools or heats the plate, depending on the state of the switch. A thermostat prevents beverage overheating. A second magnetic switch powers the driving coil only if the coaster is present and aligned with the driving coil.

The compressor is incapable of simultaneously supplying both the first evaporator and the second evaporator at their full cooling capacity.
