    摘要: The present invention relates to a plasma display apparatus and an apparatus for driving a plasma display panel. The plasma display apparatus of the present invention comprises a connector into which a terminal of a driving connector is inserted, whereby the terminal of the driving connector and a terminal of the connector are brought in contact with each other and are thus electrically connected to each other. In accordance with the present invention, a driving drive can be replaced when failure occurs in the drive IC, and an additional member such as a TCP frame is not required.

The PDP includes a front panel, a rear panel, a group of electrodes, and a plurality of conductive pads. The group of electrodes are each configured to have a predetermined first line width and are formed on at least one of the front panel and the rear panel. The conductive pads are configured to allow the group of electrodes to be electrically connected with the corresponding electrodes, and are each configured to have a second line width greater than the first line width. The structure of the PDP can effectively protect an overall panel pad from external moisture.

The preset invention can lower the manufacturing cost that is increased due to driving units and reduce the area occupied by driving units through a signal transmission unit formed on an ineffective surface of a glass substrate so as to be connected to sustain electrodes and an electrode connection unit formed on one side of the glass substrate.
