摘要: A container can be used for growing a plant having roots. The container can comprise a rectangular sheet having an upper edge, a lower edge, a first side edge and a second side edge. The first side edge and the second side edge are joined forming a cylinder. The upper edge is configured to rest above a ground surface such that vertical root growth is substantially uninhibited by the container above the ground surface. An inward contoured lip can be formed into the lower edge. The rectangular sheet from the upper edge to the inward contoured lip constrains lateral growth of the roots of the plant above the ground surface while vertical root growth is completely uninhibited by the container below the inward contoured lip.

摘要: A foldable lighted tree assembly includes an assembly frame with a plurality of elongated assembly frame legs each having a first leg end and a second leg end. The plurality of assembly frame legs converges at the second leg end. The plurality of assembly frame legs are selectively deployable between an extended, functional configuration wherein the assembly frame is generally pyramid-shaped and a folded, non-functional transport and storage configuration wherein the plurality of assembly frame legs are generally parallel and adjacent to each other. At least one light string having a plurality of lights is supported by the assembly frame.

摘要: An insertion container is disclosed for use with a traditional type baby bottle with detachable cap and nipple. A preferred embodiment of the container includes a longitudinal tube filled an preferably presealed with a chilled nontoxic liquid such as frozen ice water. The tube is then inserted into a baby bottle and is supported within the bottle by a base rim which is located in the area between the top of the mouth of the bottle and the bottle cap. The base rim can include through holes for allowing baby bottle formula such as milk and the like to flow to the nipple portion of the bottle. Optionally, the base rim can include a rubber type plug to seal the holes and prevent the formula in the bottle from spilling outside the bottle. The elongated insert tube can be sized longer for large bottles and alternatively curve shaped for use with bottles that have a center through hole for gripping the bottle.

摘要: Methods and systems for processing signals to minimize the effects of dye crosstalk. Deconvolution of multiplexed dye signals can include corrections for residual error determined from experimental measurements. Residual error corrections can account for reaction or assay specific factors and modify the subsequent filtering of signals. Correction values can be determined for specific dye-probe conjugates to minimize dye crosstalk and may be combined with residual error correction to further minimize errors in spectral deconvolution. Apparatus, systems, and computer-readable media can process signals and modify filters based on values obtained using the methods.

摘要: A USB device for communicating data from the device to a USB host is provided. The USB device may have an interrupt or isochronous endpoint for communicating interrupts to the host and a bulk data endpoint for communicating bulk data to the host. The USB device may communicate a signal over the interrupt or isochronous endpoint to the host indicating that the device has bulk data to communicate to the host and may communicate bulk data over the bulk endpoint in response to bulk data requests from the host generated based on the signal over the interrupt or isochronous endpoint. The device may count a predetermined period of time when the device is generating a NAK signal in response to the bulk data request signals from the host because the device does not have any bulk data, and may communicate a signal over the bulk endpoint to the host, once the predetermined period of time has elapsed, indicating that the host halts the bulk data requests until another signal over the interrupt or isochronous endpoint is received.

摘要: A device capable of operating at both a low power mode and at a high power mode which is connected to a host by a USB connection. The device includes a non-volatile memory which stores the operating state of the device when the host goes into hibernate mode and a flag which indicates that the host has entered the “hibernate” mode. When the device powers up, the previous state of the device is read from the memory. If the previous state was high power and the hibernate flag is set, the device restarts in high power mode without the need of any initialization to determine if the host will allow operation at high power speed mode. The device determines that the host is going into suspend mode (rather than power down mode) by determining if a suspend signal on the USB bus is followed by a power down operation.
