摘要: In addition to a conventional steering system for steering a vehicle through the front wheels in accordance with an angular displacement of the steering wheel, the vehicle is equipped with a negative feedback steering control system which steers the vehicle through the front or rear wheels in accordance with an instantaneous yaw rate of the vehicle. The feedback system has a vehicle behavior sensor for sensing the yaw rate, and an control circuit which determines an actual quantity which is equal to the yaw rate or a linear combination of the yaw rate and the time derivative of the yaw rate and a reference quantity which is a function of the angular displacement and the vehicle speed, so designed as to be approximately equal to the yaw rate if there is no disturbance. The control circuit produces a feedback signal proportional to a difference between the actual quantity multiplied by a first coefficient and the reference quantity multipled by a second coefficient. In response to the feedback signal, an actuator corrects the direction of the front or rear wheels in such a direction as to reduce the yaw rate. A lateral acceleration of the vehicle may be used in place of the yaw rate.

摘要: A wire-cut electric discharge machine, which displays a workable time (T) of a currently used wire electrode (2). A wire length when the wire is mounted on a bobbin (B1) and a wire feed speed are input through a manual input unit (7) and are stored in memory (6). During working (i.e., machining), a CPU (5) calculates a new, remaining wire length (L) from the wire length when the wire is mounted on the bobbin or a remaining wire length (L) and a wire feed speed (V) for predetermined time periods (step S1). A workable time (T) is calculated from the new, remaining wire length (L) and the wire feed speed (V) by the CPU (5), and is displayed by a display unit (8) (steps S2 and S3).

摘要: An active suspension system employs a vertical acceleration sensor for monitoring vertical acceleration exerted on the vehicular body at an orientation where a suspension system is provided, to produce a vertical acceleration indicative signal. The system derives a vertical displacement speed on the basis of the vertical acceleration indicative signal. A suspension control command for stabilizing vertical vibration is thus derived on the basis of the vertical motion speed and a given gain. In order to facilitate satisfactorily high cornering stability, the system varies the gain for deriving the suspension control command depending upon a lateral acceleration exerted on the vehicular body.

摘要: In an electric discharge machining power source having a capacitor discharge circuit with a switching element, charging of a capacitor is stopped through an OR gate (G1), a NOR gate (G2) and a preamplifier (A1) in response to an output from a charge voltage detecting circuit (1) for generating the output when a charge voltage across the capacitor exceeds a reference voltage. At the same time, the switching element is turned on through a preamplifier (A2). The switching element is kept on through the OR gate (G1) and the preamplifier (A2) until a discharge current detecting circuit (4) detects the discharge current and stops generating the output. When the capacitor is completely discharged, the switching element is turned off. When a predetermined period of time has elapsed under the control of a monostable multivibrator (3), the capacitor is recharged.

摘要: A wire-cut electric discharge machining apparatus for cutting a workpiece by producing an electric discharge across the workpiece and a wire while a machining liquid is allowed to flow between the wire and the workpiece via machining liquid flow rate control apparatus. When machining speed is reduced and machining discharge energy diminishes at a corner-cut portion or at a portion which is to be cut into the shape of a circular arc, the machining liquid flow rate, namely the pressure of the liquid, is reduced to prevent wire oscillation.
