    摘要: The object of the invention is to provide a constant velocity joint of tripod type which is both highly strong and durable, and which can minimize rolling resistance when transmitting torque at a joint angle. A tripod type constant velocity joint comprises a housing secured to a first rotating shaft and a tripod having trunnion axes spaced apart equally in a circumferential direction and securing equally to the second rotating shaft. The cross section normal to the trunnion axis is shaped to an ellipse and the direction of its short diameter is arranged parallel to the second rotational shaft.

    摘要: A constant velocity joint of tripod type which is both highly strong and durable, and which can maintain a low axial force and low shudder when transmitting torque at a joint angle. The constant velocity joint of tripod type comprises a roller assembly including an outer roller, an inner roller and a needle bearing located therebetween. The outer roller is provided with needle bearing retaining rings and needle bearing stop rings, at each of its upper and lower ends, respectively. The inner roller moves relative to the outer roller in the axial direction. The outer face of the inner roller and the inner face of the outer roller have generally spherical shapes of dimensions similar to each other to freely engage, respectively. The outer face of the trunnion is provided with a partially cylindrical portion with inclined relative to a trunnion centerline.

    摘要: This specification discloses a fastening band surrounding a cylindrical fastening member mounted on a member to be fastened and having the opposite end portions thereof adapted to be superposed one upon the other when the fastening member is fastened to the member to be fastened. A rectangular hole and slot extending long in the lengthwise direction of the body of the band are formed in succession from the fore end in a first end portion which is the outer side when the opposite end portions are superposed one upon the other. The end edge of the rectangular hole which is adjacent to the fore end provides a first tool engaging portion. A first projection for tentative fastening and regular fastening is inwardly formed on the end edge of the slot which is adjacent to the fore end. A second tool engaging portion comprising a protuberance, a second projection for tentative fastening and a third projection for regular fastening are outwardly formed in succession from the fore end on a second end portion which is the inner side when the opposite end portions are superposed one upon the other. By applying a force in the tangential direction of the fastening band in its tentatively fastened state to the first tool engaging portion, the first projection is caused to ride over the third projection and thereafter is caused to engage the third projection to thereby bring about a regularly fastened state.

    摘要: A clamp band has a pair of end portions formed in a loop-like shape around a cylindrical clamp member mounted on a member to be clamped and overlapped with each other and imparted a tangential clamping force and engaged with each other to clamp the clamp member to the member to be clamped. The first end portion which is the outer side during overlapping is formed with a first projection projectedly provided radially inwardly and a first clamping force imparting portion to which a clamping force is imparted during clamping, and the second end portion which is the inner side during overlapping is formed with a second projection projectedly provided radially outwardly and engaged with the first projection and a second clamping force imparting portion which is located more adjacent to the side opposite to the fore end of the second end portion than the second projection and to which a clamping force is imparted during clamping, and during clamping, a tangential clamping force is imparted to the first and second clamping force imparting portions to increase the amount of overlap, and the first and second projections are brought into engagement with each other to support a circumferential force, thereby clamping the clamp member to the member to be clamped.

If a ratio tc/Da is set to rt, there is satisfied a relationship such as: (0.054/rt)·Da≦w≦(0.16/rt)·Da where Da is the major diameter of each ball, w is the circumference-directional width of each of the column members existing between the pockets adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction with respect to the cage, and tc is the diameter-directional thickness of each of the column members of the cage.

    摘要: In a tripod type constant velocity joint a tripod is disposed within a cylindrical housing such that three equi-angularly spaced trunnions of the tripod are received within corresponding recesses of the housing. Each trunnion has a spherical roller mounted thereon through a plurality of rolling bearing members, and a cylindrical roller mounted on the spherical roller. An inner peripheral concave spherical surface of the cylindrical roller is in intimate sliding contact with an outer peripheral convex spherical surface of the spherical roller, and an outer cylindrical surface of the cylindrical roller is in rolling contact with the opposite side surfaces of the corresponding recess. The rolling bearing members, the spherical rollers, and the cylindrical rollers are disposed within a circle formed by linking the ends of the trunnions together.
