Abstract: A terminal-equipped electrical wire includes a water-blocking material disposed between an inner side surface of an electrical wire connecting portion and a core wire to cover a distal end of the core wire, and the electrical wire connecting portion includes a bottom portion, a first crimping piece wrapped around the electrical wire, a second crimping piece wrapped around an outer side of the first crimping piece, and a plate-shaped protruding piece protruding from a side surface of the first crimping piece or the second crimping piece in an axial direction of the electrical wire, and the protruding piece is bent from a proximal end portion such that the protruding piece is closer to the distal end of the core wire toward a distal end side from a proximal end side of the protruding piece, and blocks at least a part of an opening of the electrical wire connecting portion.

Abstract: A terminal fitting includes a terminal connecting portion and an electric wire connecting portion. A water stop member is affixed to an inner wall surface of the electric wire connecting portion before crimping process and suppresses entering of water between the electric wire connecting portion and a core wire of the electric wire after the crimping. The electric wire connecting portion is formed into a U-shape by raising the first barrel piece and the second barrel piece from both ends of the bottom. The distal end of the first barrel piece is bent toward the second barrel piece, to form a gap between a slide contact surface on a descending second die and the distal end of the first barrel piece.

Abstract: A terminal crimping device includes a terminal feeding device, a crimping device and an electric-wire holding mechanism that holds an electric wire with an end portion of the electric wire placed above an electric-wire connecting portion of a crimp terminal. The electric-wire holding mechanism includes an upper surface of a terminal cutting body, on which the electric wire is placed, and an electric-wire presser that is moved downward toward the upper surface and presses and thereby holds the electric wire placed on the upper surface. Between the electric-wire placing portion and a lower surface of the electric-wire presser, an electric-wire holding space is formed that inclines in the same direction to a declining direction in which the end portion of the electric wire is declined in association with downward move of the second die toward the first die, and that holds the electric wire in a thus inclined state.

Abstract: A crimp terminal includes a terminal connecting portion, an electric wire connecting portion, and a coupling portion. The electric wire connecting portion is formed with a first barrel piece and a second barrel piece, the two facing each other, by bending processing on an electric wire side plate-shaped portion after two facing walls are formed by bending processing on a terminal side plate-shaped portion. The coupling portion is formed with two facing side walls by bending processing on a coupling side plate-shaped portion. Certain portions that will be the side walls later are formed with at least one tensile force absorbing portion that absorbs a tensile force between the terminal side plate-shaped portion side and the electric wire side plate-shaped portion side occurring during the bending processing on the terminal side plate-shaped portion.
