摘要: The present invention is conceived to provide methods for efficiently separating two liquids different in sp. gr. which are in a mixed state and apparatuses for implementing them. The present invention devised an arrangement such that between an outer cylindrical electrode doubled as an apparatus container and an inner cylindrical electrode concentrically disposed relative to said outer cylindrical electrode and set to the equal potential to that of the outer cylindrical electrode, a charging electrode is provided concentrically thereto, thereby defining not only between the aforementioned electrodes mixture liquid passage spaces for letting the mixture of two liquids flow upwardly, but a separated liquid collecting space above said mixture liquid passage spaces, and that inside the inner cylindrical electrode, there is provided a space for letting the liquid to be separated flow down which is designed to guide downwardly the liquid to be separated left after removal of the impurity liquid, with a voltage high enough to neutralize the zeta potential of impurity liquid particles in the mixture applied between the aforementioned electrodes, respectively. In this way, not only the impurity liquid particles in the mixture are got cohere together into coarse particles by dint of their intermolecular attraction, but the separated liquid which has floated up or settled down, according to the sp. gr. difference between the mixture and the coarse particles, is collected and, then, discharged.

摘要: An interlocking cushioning mechanism for supporting a seat portion and a backrest of a chair in an integrally movable fashion. This mechanism has a primary mounting member secured to an upright support for swivel movement about the vertical axis thereof, slots formed in a portion of the primary mounting member which is located near the upper end of the upright support; a subsidiary mounting member having one end extending upwardly toward the rear of the chair and the other end secured to the slots by means of a shaft; a resilient member such as a spring held between the shaft and the forward end of the primary mounting member so as to cause the shaft to move rearwardly within the slot; a seat portion mounting frame for carrying the seat portion; and a backrest frame secured to the rear of the subsidiary mounting member. The resilient member is mounted by means of a simple mounting structure and the resilient force of the resilient member is altered with a minimal effort.

摘要: A method of efficiently eliminating impurities, particularly of low molecular weight and low concentration, from electric insulating liquids by means of applying an electric field to the electric insulating liquid to charge the contaminant particles therefrom and then contacting the thus-treated liquid with at least one absorbent to remove the charged contaminant particles from said liquid by means of an absorbent having ion-radicals in its structure, such as zeolite, and then eliminating the rough particles therefrom by means such as a percolator, centrifuge or precipitation tank. In certain cases wherein a large amount of contaminants which interfere with the insulating properties of the electric insulating liquid are present, the electric insulating liquid is first heated and subsequently contacted with an absorbent prior to the step of applying an electric field to preliminarily remove contaminants therefrom.

摘要: A vacuum envelope of a cathode ray tube comprises a faceplate and a rear envelope bonded to the faceplate. The rear envelope includes a rear plate opposed to the faceplate, a side wall, a plurality of funnels extending from the rear plate, partition walls set up on the rear plate, and necks bonded individually to the funnels. The rear envelope is formed by connecting a plurality of miniature envelopes to one another. Each miniature envelope includes at least one funnel, and is molded by pressing.
