摘要： An image processing apparatus includes a reproducing device for reproducing recorded image data from a medium on which a plurality of image data are recorded. Apparatus is provided for supplying to a monitor the reproduced image data as a multi-screen wherein one screen of the monitor displays a plurality of smaller screens each corresponding to a respective one of the plurality of image data. Structure is provided for designating at least one of the smaller screens displayed on the multi-screen, and circuitry is provided for erasing from the medium image data corresponding to one of the smaller screens designated by the designating structure.

摘要： An information managing system for browsing or transferring images between apparatuses is connected to a network. In this system, an information storage apparatus such as an image pickup apparatus, an information managing apparatus such as an image server, and an information processing apparatus or client computer such as a PC are interconnected by the network. The information storage apparatus uploads only related information such as an index of image data stored therein to the information managing apparatus to publicize the related information on the network. Only when the information processing apparatus for browsing the public information issues a transmission request for original information, the original information is transmitted from the information storage apparatus to the information processing apparatus.

摘要： A host computer is connected to a plurality of printers via an IEEE1394 bus. To make these printers print an identical image, the host computer assures a communication channel. The host computer then broadcasts print data to the printers to make them print images. In this case, the host computer starts transmission after it confirms that all the printers are ready to print and to receive print data. Upon receiving a busy response from any printer, the host computer pauses data transmission.
