    摘要: According to one aspect of this invention, auxiliary data recorded on a recording medium together with image and/or sound data is reproduced by a plurality of times, and if the auxiliary data reproduced from a predetermined range on the recording medium coincide with each other, it is determined that the auxiliary data reproduced from the predetermined range is true auxiliary data which can be utilized. According to another aspect of the invention, auxiliary data recorded in different areas on a recording medium are repeatedly reproduced, and if the auxiliary data repeatedly reproduced from all areas do not coincide with each other by predetermined times, it is determined whether the auxiliary data repeatedly reproduced from a particular range coincide with each other by predetermined times. If such auxiliary data coincide, it is determined that the auxiliary data reproduced from the particular range is true auxiliary data which can be utilized.

    摘要: The present invention relates to an apparatus for driving a stepping motor, including a plurality of push-pull circuits each of which is capable of controlling a push state in which a current is supplied to a terminal and a pull state in which a current is drawn through the terminal and which are connected to coils to operate the stepping motor utilizing the bipolar driving. In the apparatus of the present invention, at least one of the push-pull circuits is connected to a common terminal having one ends of the coils of different phases connected thereto, thereby reducing the number of circuits and driving lines.

    摘要: The present invention is intended to solve a problem which may be encountered during a transfer from a mode for searching a desired still image to a mode for performing actual reproduction during the process in which still image information is reproduced from a tape-shaped recording medium on which a multiplicity of helical tracks are formed for one picture of still image information, one picture of still image information and address information indicative of the number thereof being recorded in the multiplicity of helical tracks. The sensation of an operator can be made coincident with an actually reproduced still image, for example, by effecting such mode transfer by detecting and using a number adjacent to a desired still image number or by shifting the tape-shaped recording medium by a predetermined amount. Accordingly, it is possible to to search a desired still image rapidly and easily.

    摘要: A head driving device includes a head driving mechanism which is arranged to shift, relative to a recording track formed on a recording medium, a head stepwise in units of a predetermined driving extent, a detection circuit which detects the level of a signal reproduced by the head, and a control circuit which controls the head driving mechanism to have the head shifted in the direction of obtaining the maximum output of the detection circuit. When the head shifting direction is reversed, the control circuit causes the head to be shifted in the reverse direction at least by two steps in units of the driving extent and determines the stopping position of the head on the basis of the output of the detection circuit obtained at each of head positions obtained at each step of shifting the head in the reverse direction.
