Abstract:
A suspension element is disposed inside of a rim. The upper end of the suspension element is connected to a first support member mounted to a vehicle body. The lower end of the suspension element is connected to a second support member rotatably connected to the disk on the wheel. The shock and vibration from the wheel in the vertical direction are damped and absorbed by the suspension element. Also, a spring mechanism and a flat bearing are disposed in the wheel. The spring mechanism is disposed between a rotating member rotatably supported on the vehicle body and the rim of the wheel. If the rotating member is fixed to a brake drum, braking torque is transmitted to the wheel through the spring mechanism. The flat bearing is disposed between the rim and the rotating member and prohibits the axial movement of the wheel relative to the vehicle body.
Abstract:
A wheel with a damper for an automobile includes a rim, a disk, and a damper. The damper includes a rubber member. The rubber member includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion performs mainly an elastic shear deflection and the second portion acts as a stopper. The first portion extends in an axial direction of the wheel and has an inside surface and an outside surface which contact a space and are not constrained. The end surfaces of the first portion extend perpendicularly to the axial direction of the wheel. A vibrational system having a spring of the first portion of the rubber member and a mass of an automobile is designed so as to have a first natural frequency in a range of 6-12 H, preferably, in a range of 8-10 Hz.
Abstract:
An ink jet printing device including a printing head having a nozzle through which ink can be ejected. The head includes an internal chamber ink and ink ejection is caused by internal pressure pulses. The internal chamber is formed in part by a deformable diaphragm which prevents extreme ambient temperature variations from causing damaging liquid pressure fluctuations.
Abstract:
A printing head for ink-jet printing comprises at least one ink-flow passage in the form of a hollow chamber and at least one ink-jet nozzle coupled to the ink-flow passage. The hollow chamber has a substantially uniform depth over substantially the entire area thereof. Preferably, the head comprises at least two laminated sheet-like members, one of the members having a hollow formed therein to comprise the ink-flow passage, and the other of the members having at least one nozzle formed therein. The head further comprises a flexible wall in communication with the hollowed chamber and a piezoelectric transducer connected to the flexible wall for producing ink-jetting pressure changes in the hollow chamber. Also disclosed are multi-nozzle printing heads with the chambers arranged in a circular configuration, and stacked double and triple decker arrangements.
Abstract:
A method of production of an ultralow carbon cast slab characterized by adding Ti to molten steel decarburized to a carbon concentration of 0.01 mass % or less, further adding at least one of Ce, La, and Nd, and using an immersion nozzle to inject the above molten steel from a tundish to a casting mold for continuous casting while maintaining a flow rate of Ar gas blown from any location in a range from a tundish upper nozzle to discharge ports of said immersion nozzle at 3 Nl (normal liter)/min or less.
Abstract:
A better way of replaying a video picture, using a small screenless portable DVD player, is disclosed. As a handy and easy way of charging a mobile telephone is also described by using the screen of the mobile telephone as a screen for a small screenless portable DVD player, and by connecting the small screenless portable DVD player with the mobile telephone with only one cable which transmits both picture signal and sound signal, use of the mobile to play DVDs is made easier. Moreover, by providing a USB terminal that provides electric power from the battery pack of the small screenless portable DVD player, on the side of the DVD player, and by charging electric power to the battery of the mobile telephone through this USB terminal, the mobile telephone is conveniently charged by the ordinarily larger battery of the DVD player.
Abstract:
An on-demand-type ink jet recording apparatus and process wherein the droplet size is controlled to effect halftone-gradiation recording. A preceding pulse is applied to the electromechanical transducer prior to the main pulse so as to control the position of the ink meniscus in the nozzle and thereby control droplet size.
Abstract:
A method of purging or cleaning ink passages of an ink jet recording device of the type in which a series of ink droplets is ejected from an orifice of a printing head towards a recording medium by the volume displacement of a pressure chamber provided in the printing head, including the steps of applying pressure required for purging to ink within an ink supply source, keeping a valve to open wide and forming a flow of ink in ink passages in one direction towards the orifice, thereby to remove bubbles and impurities present in the ink passages together with the discharged ink. Furthermore, in the present invention, there is provided a suction means associated with the ink jet recording device, which is used to obtain more excellent purging effect in combination with the above-mentioned steps.
Abstract:
A light interference device comprising a light source having a low degree of spacial coherence, an optical element having a reference surface for interference, an optical system for providing a parallel light bundle, and an optical projection system for projecting interference fringes localized near the interference surface.Said parallel light bundle comes out of the reference surface at an angle .theta. within the range of 0.degree.
