    摘要: A manufacturing method of a cylindrical yoke including a bottom portion to which an opening 12a is formed to journal the starter output shaft of a planetary gear-type starter incorporating a planetary gear reducer, and an inner peripheral gear portion formed to the vicinity of the bottom portion, the yoke functioning as the field magnet of a motor in the planetary gear-type starter. The yoke is formed by subjecting a metal disk 10 to cold spinning. As a result the inner peripheral gear portion of the yoke and a thin portion can be easily formed and miniaturization, reduction in weight and cost reduction are realized.

    摘要: An engine starter apparatus comprises a housing (9), a d.c. electric motor (2), an output rotary shaft (3) with a pinion (7), and a planetary speed reduction gear (5). The planetary speed reduction gear (5) comprises a sun gear (11), an internal gear (20), a plurality of planetary gears (12) disposed between the sun gear (11) and the internal gear (20), and a planetary gear carrier (10) connected to the output rotary shaft (3) for rotatably supporting the planetary gears (12). The internal gear (20) comprises a ring-shaped internal gear member (20a), and elastic reinforcing ring member (21,22; 24) for elastically supporting the internal gear member (20a), thereby to increase rigidity of the internal gear member (20a). The reinforcing ring member may comprise a thin-wall cylindrical member (22) concentrically disposed around the internal gear member (20a) with an annulus defined therebetween, and a plurality of ribs (21) radially and axially extending through the annulus for integrally connecting them together. The reinforcing ring member may be a solid elastic ring (24). The reinforcing ring member (21,22; 24) may have formed therein an axial groove (23) for allowing a through bolt for connecting the housing and the d.c. motor to pass therethrough.

    摘要: A planetary gear starter with a molded synthetic resin ring gear supported by a frame is disclosed. The ring gear has longitudinally-extending ribs formed in its outer surface which confront longitudinally-extending inward projections formed in the inner surface of the frame. A cylindrical elastic member has an annular portion which is press fit over the ring gear and longitudinally-extending projections which fit into the cavities formed between adjacent ribs and inward projections in the frame. The projections of the elastic member serve as shock absorbers and elastically transmit torque from the ring gear to the frame. The elastic member has an annular portion which reinforces the open end of the ring gear.

    摘要: In a cylindrical yoke 1 of a planetary gear-type starter which acts as the magnetic field of the motor of a planetary gear-type starter for reducing the rotation of a motor output shaft 31 and transmitting the reduction rotation to a starter output shaft 21 so that an inner peripheral gear portion is improved in precision by suppressing a material remaining in the yoke 1 and gear noise is reduced in operation, the yoke 1 comprises an opening formed at the bottom portion of the yoke for journaling the starter output shaft of the planetary gear-type starter, an inner peripheral gear portion 11 formed in the vicinity of the bottom portion 12 of the yoke, and an annular thick portion 18 formed between the inner peripheral gear portion and the bottom portion on the inner peripheral side thereof, wherein the yoke 1 incorporates the flange 2 of the starter output shaft and planetary gears 4 which are rotatably mounted to the flange as well as engaged with the outer peripheral gear portion 32 of the motor output shaft and the inner peripheral gear portion.
