    摘要: A particulate titanium oxide is obtained which has a large specific surface area and a high crystallinity with few internal defects, and thus a high photocatalytic activity as a photocatalyst is expected. Particulate titanium oxide in which the particles are box-shaped polyhedra is used as the photocatalyst. The particles are each a box-shaped polyhedron composed of one or more titanium oxide single crystalline polyhedron. When this single crystalline polyhedron has a flatness ratio of 0.33 to 3.0, the crystallinity is even higher. The particulate titanium oxide typically has a rutile transition ratio R(700-24) of not more than 7.5% and a rutile transition ratio R(500-24) of not more than 2.0%. Titanium oxide particles of these shapes are manufactured by feeding titanium tetrachloride vapor and oxygen into a reaction tube made of silica glass and applying heat from outside the tube to effect thermal oxidation.

The method comprising steps of: heating at least one of a blade portion of a machining tool and a light guide plate, descending the machining tool along a specific formation direction of the blade portion all through this descending step to press the blade portion into a back surface of the light guide plate, ascending the machining tool along a specific formation direction of the blade portion all through this ascending step to pull out the blade portion from the light guide plate, moving the machining tool horizontally, and arranging at least one light source along at least one edge face of the light guide plate. The steps of descending, ascending, and horizontally moving the machining tool are performed repeatedly to form the dot-like reflection portions.

    摘要: A display apparatus includes a transparent light guide plate, a light source provided on at least one end surface of the light guide plate, and a mask provided on a front surface of the light guide plate. The light guide plate is formed of a plurality of reflecting and scattering portions having reflecting and scattering surfaces that reflect a light emitted from the light source and emit the reflected light from a front surface side. The mask allows an observer to visually recognize the light reflected from a reflective portion for the right eye, using the right eye, and the light reflected from a reflective portion for the left eye, using the left eye, whereby the reflected light beams can be stereoscopically recognized due to binocular parallax.
