摘要: According to the present, invention, when transferring a pattern of projections and valleys of a stamper to a UV curable resin coated on a disc base plate, the disc base plate is pressed against the stamper while the stamper is maintained at a constant temperature to set the viscosity of the UV curable resin to a value suitable for transferring the pattern of projections and valleys to the UV curable resin from the stamper to realize high fidelity duplication.

摘要: A method for producing an optical disc including the step of transferring a pattern of alternate projections and recesses from a stamper to a glass base plate by photopolymerization of a resin curable with ultraviolet rays, wherein the glass base plate is previously processed by surface processing by a suitable coupling agent. Before or after the surface processing with the coupling agent, the glass base plate is heated under a reduced pressure for improving bonding properties between the glass base plate and the resin curable with ultraviolet rays.

摘要: An optical information recording medium is manufactured by a so-called photopolymerization process. The medium comprises a glass substrate and a layer of ultraviolet ray setting resin having a surface which is a replica of a stamper. Concentric recesses are formed at the outer and inner peripheral edges of the glass substrate to receive an excess resin to avoid any formation of a bur on the finished disk medium.

摘要: A liquid discharge head having a liquid discharge head substrate including an element row in which a plurality of energy generating elements for generating thermal energy for use in discharging liquid are arranged, and a discharge port member corresponding to each of the plurality of energy generating elements, the discharge port members including a plurality of walls in contact with the liquid discharge head substrate to form a plurality of liquid chambers for storing liquid and a plurality of discharge ports which communicate with each of the plurality of the liquid chambers to discharge liquid with the thermal energy generated by the energy generating element. The liquid discharge head further includes a plurality of heat dissipating members corresponding to each of the plurality of the liquid chambers and having a first portion exposed to the liquid chamber and a second portion exposed to the atmosphere.

Respective connecting parts of the support member and the lead electrode are Ni-plated and each of the first and the second bonding material is a Sn solder having a Cu6Sn5 content greater than a eutectic content.
