摘要： A document image processor reads data on the image of an original document and automatically sets a format for the document in a document processor such as a word processor or personal computer. First, an image scanner reads a document as image data. A character recognizer recognizes and encodes a character from the read image data, and a document processor stores the encoded document data into a document memory. When the character recognizer encodes the image data, it analyzes the structure of the document. The document processor produces format information on the basis of the result of the analysis, and sets the produced format information in the document format memory in correspondence to document data in the document memory. Thus, the document image processor reads a document image from the document, encodes the image, and sets a format for a document conforming exactly to the document image in correspondence to the encoded document data.

摘要： An automobile bumper comprises a bumper face and a bumper beam constructed of members molded of thermoplastic resin. The bumper beam includes at least two members of thermoplastic resin having flanges for forming beam flanges together when the members are fused to each other, the beam flanges being fused to an inner surface of the bumper face. An FRP sheet is continuously heated in an atmosphere having a temperature successively lowered from a temperature higher than a resin melting temperature at which a resin of the FRP sheet is melted so that the entire FRP sheet is increased through successive heating stages to a temperature between the resin melting temperature and a resin degradation temperature at which the resin of the FRP sheet is degraded. Heaters are brought into close proximity with joining surfaces to be fused of at least two parts of synthetic resin with a prescribed spacing therebetween for melting the joining surfaces, and thereafter the melted joining surfaces are pressed against each other to fuse the parts together. At least one of the at least two parts comprises an FRP product made of glass fibers reinforced with a thermoplastic resin, the joining surfaces of the FRP product having a plurality of projections containing the thermoplastic resin only, the projections being melted when the parts are fused together.

摘要： A plurality of thermoplastic sheets are laminated into a laminated assembly, which is then pressed into a laminated assembly. First, the sheets to be laminated in one cycle are heated while the sheets are arranged in a juxtaposed relationship in the order in which they are to be laminated. The heated sheets are penetrated with needles to detachably hold the sheets while keeping the sheets in the juxtaposed relationship. A support member which supports the laminated assembly is moved below the sheets held and relatively to the sheets in a direction in which the sheets are arranged in the juxtaposed relationship, the sheets are released from the needles onto the support member to stack the sheets thereon into the laminated assembly while the support member is being moved relatively to the sheets. The support is then delivered into a shaping die assembly. The laminated assembly on the support member which has been delivered into the shaping die assembly is charged into a charging position in the shaping die assembly, and the support member is removed from the shaping die assembly. The laminated assembly is then pressed into a shaped product with the shaping die assembly after the laminated assembly has been charged into the charging position.

摘要： A method of manufacturing an air permeable electrocast shell comprising forming a conductive layer on the surface of a model, placing a layer of elutable particles into close contact with the surface of the conductive layer and effecting an electrocasting treatment to deposit metal between the conductive layer and the particles, except for the points of contact between the conductive layer and the particles, and between adjoining particles. The deposit of the metal is controlled so that the thickness of the electrocast shell is less than that of the particle layer. Thereafter, the particles are eluted from the electrocast shell to form innumberable fine vent holes which open at both surfaces of the electrocast shell.
