In a permanent magnet rotating electrical machine 100 having a stator 1 and a rotor core 5 provided with a plurality of permanent magnets 3 inserted in an outer circumferential portion of the rotor 5, each permanent magnet 3 has inclined surfaces on the outer circumferential side of the rotor 2 and the thinnest portions of the inclined surfaces are adjacent to permanent magnets of the opposite polarity. Further, each magnet 3 has a convex-shaped cross section and is divided into two magnet segments 3, 3. A magnetic pole bridge 15 is formed at the boundary of the permanent magnet segments 3, 3. Thus, movement of the permanent magnet segments 3, 3 due to centrifugal force is firmly restricted, and the peeling off of the rotor core 5 and the permanent magnet segments 3, 3 from each other is prevented.

    摘要: Provided is a permanent magnet type electrical rotating machine which realizes a rotor retaining structure for securely preventing the rotor before being coupled to a prime mover from moving in any of not only the axial and radial but also rotational (circumferential) directions, even in a case where it is a large capacity (with a large magnetic attractive force) permanent magnet type electrical rotating machine having an overhung rotor support structure.The permanent magnet type electrical rotating machine (1) has an overhung rotor support structure in which a shaft (7) of a rotor (3) is supported at only one end side thereof by a bearing (9) provided on one side of a casing (2) of the electrical rotating machine. Another end side of the rotor shaft (7) to be a bearing support-free side is capable of being joined to an end of a shaft of a prime mover via a flange (10) formed at an end of the shaft. The rotor shaft (7) is configured such that, upon a state of not being coupled to the prime mover shaft, the flange (10) on the bearing support-free side is joined to an end face of the casing (2) through a retaining member (12) to be prevented from moving in any of an axial, radial and circumferential directions of the rotor shaft.
