摘要： An operation control signal for an oscillator producing an internal clock signal phase-locked with a basic clock signal is applied to a second internal clock generating circuit. In the second internal clock generating circuit, with reference to the applied operation control signal, a control signal adjusting a phase and/or frequency difference between a synchronization target signal and a second internal clock signal is produced to adjust a phase and/or frequency of the second internal clock signal. A plurality of internal clock signals different in phase and/or frequency can be generated accurately and stably.

摘要： A method of detecting abnormality of an information processing apparatus to be started by biometric authentication without being started when the apparatus is inoperable. The information processing apparatus performs the biometric authentication using obtained biometric data of a user and pre-registered reference biometric data of the user in order to allow the apparatus to be used. When the apparatus cannot be started, the information processing apparatus outputs the reference biometric data, a detecting apparatus capable of obtaining the reference biometric data obtains the reference biometric data, the detecting apparatus obtains biometric data of the user and detects abnormality of the information processing apparatus by comparing the biometric data of the user obtained by the information processing apparatus and the obtained reference biometric data for authentication determination.

摘要： A reserve tank includes a tank body having an opening for pouring coolant into the tank body and a cap closing the first opening. The cap includes an overflow passage for discharging overheated coolant and vapor to the exterior of the tank body. The overflow passage has a second opening which opens in a downward direction. The overflow passage is formed in a groove shape on an inner surface of the cap. Additionally, when the cap fits onto the opening, a sloped portion is provided in the tank body to face the second opening portion. As a result, overflowing heated coolant and vapor are discharged from the second opening through the overflow passage, and are smoothly discharged along the sloped portion.
