摘要: The present invention provides an emulsion composition for a vibration damper, which has heating and drying properties high enough to form an excellent coating film which can exhibit excellent damping without swelling during drying by heating, and an emulsion composition for a vibration damper, which can exhibit basic performances demanded in vibration dampers, in particular, markedly superior anti-sagging even under the condition of high humidity or a thick film where the coating film may sag in conventional technologies, and thus can be useful in vibration dampers of various structures. The emulsion composition for a vibration damper includes an emulsion obtainable by emulsion polymerization of monomer components, the emulsion composition containing 0.5 to 20% by mass of a film-forming agent with a weight average molecular weight of 100 to 20000 in 100% by mass of the emulsion composition.

An emulsion for vibration damping materials, comprising a particle having: a core part formed from an acrylic copolymer (A); and a shell part formed from an acrylic copolymer (B) , wherein at least one of the acrylic copolymer (A) and the particle having the core part and the shell part has a weight average molecular weight of 20000 to 250000.

摘要: The present invention has an object to provide at least one of the following (1) to (3). (1) To provide the following emulsion for vibration damping materials: it is excellent in vibration damping property, drying property, and mechanical stability; it can improve skinning property of the coating film surface; and it can form an excellent coating film which hardly collapses, for example, hardly sags, even if the emulsion is coated on the vertical surface and dried by heating at a high temperature. (2) To provide the following emulsion for vibration damping materials: it is excellent in vibration damping property and thermal drying property; it is hardly changed with time; it can improve the stability or dispersibility of the composition; and it can form a coating film exhibiting excellent vibration damping property even if the emulsion is coated on an inclined object. (3) To provide the following emulsion for vibration damping materials: it includes acrylic emulsion particles each having a core part and a shell part and exhibits high vibration damping property in a wide temperature region; it is excellent in mechanical stability; and it is also excellent in storage stability at a low temperature. 摘要: The object of the invention is to provide a means to enhance the drying property of a coating film formed as a vibration damper and repressing the occurrence of crack and expansion in the surface of the coating film. The task mentioned above is accomplished by using a thickener for vibration damper, which contains a polymer comprising an alkali-soluble monomer unit and an associating monomer unit. The alkali-soluble monomer unit may possess a carboxyl group, a sulfonic acid group, or a phosphoric acid group, or a salt thereof. The associating monomer unit may possess in a side chain thereof a group represented by the formula, —(R1—O)n—X—R2, (wherein R1 denotes methylene group, ethylene group, propylene group or butylene group, n denotes a number in the range of 10-300, X denotes a direct bond, —C(═O)—, or —C(═O)NH—, and R2 denotes a hydrocarbon group of 6-30 carbon atoms).
