    摘要: Silencing equipment provided with one or more flow channels through which cooling air flows has a flow channel forming member that forms the flow channel, and an acoustic absorbent member that is fixed to the flow channel forming member. A resonance type silencer is formed on a wall surface of the flow channel by providing a cavity for the resonance type silencer in the acoustic absorbent member and an aperture for the resonance type silencer in a portion of the flow channel forming member. The resonance type silencer sets a frequency of noise necessary to be reduced based on a peak frequency of noise generated by a fan. The silencing equipment further has a slide member which slides by a slide mechanism to adjust the area of the top of the aperture. The silencing equipment for electronic devices capable of cooling heat generating sections thereof with air has a small and simple structure and can improve a silencing effect by blowing air.

    摘要: Disclosed herein is a sound absorbing system used for an electronic device that has enhanced noise reduction capabilities, while maintaining the cooling performance of the device and without increasing the size of the device. A disk array has multiple fans installed on each of the right and left sides of its front section. A frame that houses a sound absorbing system is placed in the middle of an airflow path through which air passes from the fans. Two sound absorbers are arranged inside the frame such that each of the sound absorbers faces the right-side or left-side fans. Airflow paths through which air passes from the fans are located in the space between the two sound absorbers. The airflow paths are partitioned by an acoustic board such that each of the airflow paths does not have parallel side faces. The frame, the sound absorbers, the acoustic board, and the airflow paths constitute the sound absorbing system. The sound absorbers and the acoustic board are made of sound absorbing materials such as glass wool, urethane foam, and the like. The sound absorbers and the acoustic board are arranged such that they prevent the fans from being seen from the outside of the sound absorbing system.

    摘要: A method to reduce engine noise in a multi-cylinder direct injection internal combustion engine. The internal combustion engine includes a high pressure fuel pump having both an inlet valve fluidly connected to a fuel source and an outlet valve typically connected to a pressurized fuel rail. In order to reduce engine noise, especially at low engine speeds, the timing of the opening of either the fuel pump inlet valve or fuel pump outlet valve is varied so that it coincides with the opening of the fuel injectors.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for controlling a solenoid actuated inlet valve to a pump chamber of a piston pump. A control circuit energizes the solenoid to open the inlet valve in synchronism with the reciprocation of the piston and thereafter de-energize the solenoid to initiate closure of the inlet valve. The inlet valve is decelerated following de-energization of the solenoid thus effectively reducing engine noise attributable to the inlet valve.

    摘要: A fuel pump for a direct injection internal combustion engine having a housing defining a pump chamber. Driven and idler toothed gears are rotatably mounted within the pump chamber so that the driven and idler gears are in mesh with each other at a predetermined location in the pump chamber. A fluid inlet is formed through the housing and open to an inlet subchamber in the pump chamber. A fluid outlet is also formed through the housing and open to an outlet subchamber in the pump chamber. A pressure relief passageway fluidly connects the inlet subchamber to the outlet subchamber and a valve is disposed in series with the pressure relief passageway. A control circuit controls the actuation of the valve to control the pump pressure at the pump outlet.

Each node of a communication system holds a plurality of packet handling operations which correlate the forwarding destination of a packet belonging to each flow with a set of collation rules that identify each flow, and forwards the received packet in accordance with the processing rules. In case the destination address of the received packet is such address indicating that the packet is to be multicast, the node multicasts the packet using the plurality of the processing rules the node holds.

    摘要: A fuel pump for a direct injection internal combustion engine having a housing defining a pump chamber.
