    摘要: Disclosed herein is a conductive electrode terminal connecting member configured to electrically connect plate-shaped secondary battery cells (‘battery cells’) constituting a battery module to each other. The electrode terminal connecting member includes a left-wing connection part to which electrode terminals of left-side battery cells are connected so as to achieve electrical connection in series or in series and in parallel between the battery cells, and a right-wing connection part to which electrode terminals of right-side battery cells are connected so as to achieve electrical connection in series or in series and in parallel between the battery cells. The left-wing connection part is provided with slits through which the electrode terminals of the respective battery cells are inserted, and the right-wing connection part is provided with slits through which the electrode terminals of the respective battery cells are inserted. During electrical connection, the electrode terminals of the respective battery cells are inserted through the slits of the left- and right-wing connection parts, are bent such that the electrode terminals of the respective battery cells come into tight contact with the top of the electrode terminal connecting member, and then the electrode terminals of the respective battery cells are coupled to the electrode terminal connecting member by welding.

    摘要: To check insulation of a pouch electric cell, probes are contacted to an electrode of a pouch electric cell and an aluminum layer of a pouch of the pouch electric cell, respectively, and then an electric characteristic value between the probes is measured. The probe contacted with the aluminum layer has a contact portion made of conductive elastic material. Also, insulation of the pouch electric cell is determined by comparing the measured electric characteristic value with a reference value. Thus, physical characteristics of an outer periphery of a flexible pouch may be sufficiently exhibited in measuring or checking insulation of a pouch electric cell such as insulation resistance, thereby improving reliability of electric contact and minimizing physical damage or deformation of the pouch electric cell.

    摘要: In a cooling system for cooling a battery pack mounted in a vehicle, the battery pack is mounted at an inner lower end of the vehicle constructed in a corrugated structure including alternating valleys and peaks. Battery modules of the battery pack are arranged such that unit cells of each battery module are mounted vertically on the corrugated lower end of the vehicle. The cooling system includes a coolant inlet port and a coolant outlet port formed at a lower-end member of a housing surrounding an outer surface of the battery pack. The coolant inlet port and the coolant outlet port are formed using a structure of the vehicle.

    摘要: Disclosed herein is a heat exchange system that controls the temperature of a medium- or large-sized battery pack including a plurality of unit cells. The heat exchange system includes a sealed type housing surrounding the outer surface of the battery pack such that a predetermined flow channel, through which a heat exchange medium flows, is defined between the housing and the battery pack, a driving fan mounted in the housing for driving the heat exchange medium to flow, and a heat exchange unit mounted at one side of the housing for controlling the temperature of the heat exchange medium. In the heat exchange system according to the present invention, the heat exchange medium, for example, air is not introduced from the outside of the battery system, but is circulated in the battery system by the heat exchange unit. Consequently, the present invention has the effect of accomplishing the reduction in size of the battery system, reducing influences caused by external conditions, decreasing noise, and effectively controlling the optimum operating temperature of the battery pack.
