    摘要: An engine driven generator (17) is provided with first and second stage fans (41,42) at one end thereof. The two-stage fan system draws in ambient air and forces it through the generator windings (38) and rotor-stator air gap (37,39) for the purpose of improving generator cooling. Stationary guide vanes (49) are disposed between the two fans (41,42) for the purpose of de-swirling the flow therebetween. The fans are of the centrifugal type and are preferably backward curved.

    摘要: An improved evaporator air management system for trailer refrigeration systems, including an electrically powered, vertical axis, axial flow fan, arranged so as to draw air through a horizontally mounted evaporator coil. The flow is then driven upward through a nozzle and discharged into the trailer. The nozzle shape graduates from a circular cross-section to a wide-aspect ratio rectangular cross-section, while turning through 90°. The preferred choice of axial flow fan for the invention is the vane-axial type incorporating outlet guide vanes. Provision is made for a single fan-nozzle configuration which may be either centered or transversely off-set with respect to the evaporator coil. An additional option provides for an arrangement with a pair of side-by-side fan-nozzles.

    摘要: An axial fan assembly including a casing wall with a forward facing step formed therein and a fan rotor with blade tips, each having an aft facing step which radially overlaps the casing step so as to reduce the clearance backflow loss in the assembly. A vane is attached to the suction side of each of the blade tips with the vane having an aft facing step which radially overlaps the casing forward facing step to promote further reduction of clearance backflow. Variations on the invention include the option of an additional inlet bellmouth piece that further restricts the clearance flow and wedges integral to the casing step to improved flow stability.

    摘要: A module is provided for attachment to the roof of a bus and includes all of necessary components for conditioning the return air from the passenger compartment and delivering conditioned air thereto. A module can be ganged in various relationships to collectively provide the total capacity required by the bus. Each module includes an evaporator section, a condenser section and a power section including a compressor and an inverter. The evaporator sections have a return air compartment that extends a substantial distance across the roof of the bus such that a single design can meet the needs of various return air duct installations of various types of buses. Provision is made for the selectively mixing of return air with fresh air, with the mixture then being passed by the evaporator blower through the evaporator coils and into the supply air ducts. The frames of the modules are attached to the roof of the bus by rails which are properly spaced to accommodate the modules frame and allow their selective longitudinal placement.

    摘要: A room air conditioner of the type having a chassis configured to be removably received in an outer housing. The chassis includes a basepan having an indoor region proximate the front of the basepan and an outer region proximate the back. The chassis further includes a condenser coil supported in the outdoor region. The condenser coil has a support structure including an upper portion overlying the upper end of the condenser coil. The chassis further includes a partition supported at its lower end by the basepan and configured to separate the indoor and outdoor regions. The upper end of the partition is configured to be in close proximity to the interior of the outer housing when the chassis is received therein. The outer housing defines a substantially rectangular structure having a lower section configured to receive and support the basepan thereupon. Vertically extending side walls extend from left and right sides of the lower section and a top wall extends between the upper ends of the side walls.
