摘要: There are described a data recording system, a data recording method, and a recording medium, all of which are directed to enabling easy editing of AV data without involvement of duplication of the AV data, as well as to eliminating a necessity for an additional data recording region. In the recording system, at the time of recording of primary data, there is prepared an original file which stores link data formed by arranging in sequence address data for reproduction purposes stored in a recording region on a recording medium. Further, through editing of the original file, there is prepared a virtual file which stores link data formed by arranging in sequence address data for reproduction purposes stored in the recording region on the recording medium. The data are reproduced according to these files.

摘要: Provided is a network system which is capable of smooth remote control of appliances in a household while improving the security. A household server for controlling home appliances and an external server for mediating between the household server and a user terminal are set on an Internet. The household server gives a right to access only to the external server that is registered in advance. When accessed by the user terminal, the external server performs user authentication and, if the access is authenticated as from an authorized user, specifies which household server is to be used by the user, and makes an access request to the corresponding server. The household server checks whether the access request is valid or not and, when the access request is found as a result to be valid, allows the user terminal to input a control instruction through the intermediation of the external server.

摘要: A content receiver receives content data distributed repeatedly from a distribution station. The content data are stored in a content storage. A reproduction processing unit sequentially reproduces parts of the content data stored in the storage corresponding to content data received by the content receiver. A content management unit monitors the degree of completion of the content data stored. When the monitored degree of completion becomes a preset level or above, a connection processing unit disconnects connection to the distribution station. After the connection has been disconnected, an identifier receiver receives reproduction information informed from the distribution station. The reproduction processing unit reproduces the content data according to the reproduction information.

摘要: A recording apparatus includes an MPEG encoder, and compressed data from the MPEG encoder and data of an index (a transfer rate and a necessary memory capacity for the transfer rate, or a transfer rate and a rate difference characteristic) are multiplexed and recorded on an optical disc. In a reproducing apparatus, a bit stream read from the optical disc is converted into variable bit rate data by a CD decoder and a CD-ROM decoder. The variable bit rate data is once stored in a system buffer, and then, supplied to an MPEG decoder from the system buffer. The index is extracted by a microcomputer which determines whether or not it is possible to reproduce the optical disc through comparison of the necessary memory capacity and a capacity of the system buffer. If not reproduced, the optical disc is ejected. In a case of simple reproduction, data stored in an output buffer is repeatedly outputted during a time that an operation of the MPEG decoder is suspended.

摘要: In an authentication apparatus, an input section acquires a living body image which an image capture apparatus generates by capturing an image of a living body that is an object of authentication, and outputs the living body image to an operation section. When the operation section acquires the living body image from the input section, the operation section calculates, on the basis of the living body image acquired and a registered image stored in a registered image storage section, the difference between the relative position of the living body with respect to the image capture apparatus at the time of acquiring the living body image and the relative position of the living body with respect to the image capture apparatus at the time of acquiring the registered image. The output section outputs guidance information for prompting a reduction in the difference in the relative position calculated by the operation section.

摘要: A vibration absorption that is both capable of damping vibrations in two directions and high in durability. A pair of pressure receiving chambers (102A) and (102B) at symmetrical positions sandwiching an axis S are structured between a first rubber elastic body (24) and a second rubber elastic body (38). The shape of a first rubber elastic body (18) in an unloaded state is determined such that a region between an inner side joining portion (24B) and an outer side joining portion (24A) becomes substantially horizontal in a loaded state in which the first rubber elastic body (24) supports the weight of an engine.

The content supply apparatus (510) stores communication contents prepared in a broadcasting format. The WLAN base station apparatus (60) acquires and stores contents from the content supply apparatus (510) through the wide area network (50). The WLAN base station apparatus (60) converts the format of the contents to be distributed and distributes the converted contents using a WLAN method. The WLAN base station apparatus (60) transmits connection setting information and content information to an information distribution apparatus (520). The connection setting information includes information for connection of the terminal apparatus (30) to the WLAN base station apparatus (60). A terminal apparatus (30) acquires the connection setting information and the content information from the information distribution apparatus (520). The terminal apparatus (30) carries out a connection processing to connect with the WLAN base station apparatus (60), using the acquired connection setting information.
