An ice shaving machine has an ice shaving chamber in which is provided a slit that a shaving blade faces, a rotary vane for rotating ice charged into the ice shaving chamber, a motor mechanism for rotating the rotary vane, a rotating hopper that stores the ice in the ice shaving chamber and coaxially rotates with the rotary vane, and an ice stocker that is provided above the rotating hopper and has openings at the lower and upper ends. The rotating hopper has a diameter that is reduced upwards, and the ice stocker coaxially rotates with the rotary vane and the rotating hopper.

摘要： There is provided a thermally assisted magnetic recording device capable of preventing collision between a thermally assisted magnetic recording head and a disk due to thermal deformation of a near-field transducer. The thermally assisted magnetic recording device includes a temperature sensor for measuring the temperature in the vicinity of the near-field transducer, a table that stores the relationship between temperature and deformation in the vicinity of the near-field transducer, and a control unit. The control unit calculates the deformation in the vicinity of the near-field transducer, from the temperature measured by the temperature sensor and the relationship between temperature and deformation stored in the table. Then, the control unit drives the flying height control actuator according to the calculated deformation to control the distance between the thermally assisted magnetic recording and the disk in order to avoid contact between them.

Apart from the first tab provided to the front end of the suspension, the second tab is provided to the front end of the gimbals. In addition to the Suspension supporting ramp, the ramp portion has the second ramp for supporting the gimbals. This arrangement allows the slider mounting gimbals, in addition to the suspension, to be loaded/unloaded. Unlike the conventional drive in which only the suspension is loaded/unloaded, this arrangement enables the gimbals to be loaded/unloaded while maintaining a predetermined space between the gimbals and the suspension, thus reducing the risk of gimbals deformation and damage.

The slurry not only has such an excellent suspending ability in suspension polymerization that it enables the production of vinyl polymer beads having a narrow bead size distribution, but also is capable of retaining this ability over long and of exhibiting the same ability even when it has a high concentration. The suspension polymerization process enables vinyl polymer beads having a narrow bead size distribution to be produced efficiently due to the use of the slurry.

摘要： The invention is directed to purified and isolated concanavalin A-binding proteins from chondrocytes that are not present in dedifferentiated cells from chondrocytes. The invention is also directed to a purified and isolated chondrocyte membrane protein, (CMP), which is a concanavalin A-binding protein, with a molecular weight of about 76 kD in SDS-PAGE. After treatment with endoglycosidase, CMP has an apparent molecular weight of about 67 kD. The N-terminal amino acid sequence and several internal amino acid sequences are given for CMP. These proteins can be used in assays, methods, or treatments involving differentiation of chondrocytes and the control of cartilaginous osteogenesis.
