Alert level criteria is applied to the data in order to determine an alert level for each of the deadlines. A visual or audible alert indicator is activated which corresponds with at least one alert level. Alert level criteria is periodically reapplied to determine an alert level for each of the deadlines.

Then, the system presents an icon corresponding to the commercial offer to the user. This commercial offer is targeted to the user based on a financial history of the user, which includes multiple transactions with multiple commercial establishments. Moreover, the icon exhibits animated behavior which can vary over time, and the user can pursue the commercial offer by interacting with the icon.

In one aspect, an electronic device includes one or more data processing devices and a touch screen coupled to the one or more data processing devices to display a user interface under the direction thereof. The user interface includes a first icon representing a relatively broad aspect of the functionality provided by the device, and a collection of three or more icons each representing a different, relatively narrower aspect of the functionality provided by the device. The aspects represented by the three or more icons in the collection are encompassed within the aspect represented by the first icon, the three or more icons arranged generally around the first icon on the touch screen.

One of the methods includes providing a navigation control for navigating in a graphical space. A portion of a large-scale graphical space is displayed on a screen of an electronic device and a navigation control is generated and displayed on the screen. The navigation control includes a ring-shaped graphical entity and a knob graphical entity positioned at point on the ring-shaped graphical entity. A zooming user input can be received to the navigation control, and in response, zooming in the graphical space is provided. The zooming user input includes the user selecting the knob graphical entity and tracing a shape of the ring-shaped graphical entity with the knob graphical entity in either a first direction to zoom in or in a second direction to zoom out.
