    摘要： An apparatus for delivering ultrasound energy and a drug solution to a treatment site in a vessel is disclosed. The apparatus includes an elongate, hollow sheath having a distal opening and an energy delivery section at least partially constructed from a material that transmits ultrasound energy. The apparatus also includes a drug delivery lumen positioned along at least a portion of the sheath, the drug delivery lumen having at least one drug delivery port within the energy delivery section. The apparatus further includes an elongate body having an ultrasound element, the elongate body configured to be movably positioned within the sheath, such that ultrasonic energy can be transmitted from the ultrasound element through the energy delivery section.

    摘要： A cartridge for use with a blood vessel access system and device. The cartridge includes a slideable needle mount and a slideable cannula mount, the slideable needle mount having a needle in slideable connection with a lumen of a cannula held by the needle mount. The slideable needle mount and the slideable cannula mount are removeably attachable with separate moveable platforms of a needle injector that is pivotally attached to a handheld ultrasound transceiver in signal communication with a computer processing unit connected with a monitor. Upon insonification of a patient's vasculature using the handheld ultrasound transceiver pressed against the surface of the patient, needle injection and subsequent cannulation of a targeted blood vessel appearing on the monitor is accomplished by deploying the needle and cannula from the cartridge via motorization of the moveable platforms that is initiated by the user operating a controller on the device's needle injector.

    摘要： The invention relates to methods for treating type 2 diabetes, obesity, metabolic syndrome and conditions associated with these by administering an AICAR-monophosphate (AICAR-MP) enhancing agent that increases endogenous AICAR-MP levels in a cell. Inhibition of AICAR-formyltransferase activity (AICARFT) in a cell that regulates metabolic activity (such as fat, liver, muscle, pancreatic beta or certain brain cells) increases AICAR-monophosphate levels which in turn results in activation of the AMP-kinase (AMPK) pathway, and all of the downstream functions mediated by AMPK including increased fatty acid oxidation, enhanced glucose transport and decreased fatty acid synthesis.

    摘要： A building automation and control network (BACnet) master-slave/token-passing (MS/TP) automatic media access control (MAC) addressing system having a BACnet MS/TP network, a MAC assigner on the network, and one or more MAC assignees on the network. Each assignee may have a global unique identity (GUID) and the assigner may have a pre-defined address. The assigner may gather virtually all GUIDs of the MAC assignees on the network and gather virtually all unused MAC addresses on the network. The assigner may map GUIDs to the unused MAC addresses and send a resulting map to the MAC assignees for assignment of a MAC address to each assignee. Each assignee may be assigned a MAC address according to its GUID, and the assignment of a MAC address to each assignee may occur automatically without manual intervention. In other words, the system may provide auto MAC addressing.
